Looking for opinions on who has the best pool out of the moderate resorts. Was really hoping to book Beach Club for next fall, but with a $1400 price difference (that buys all 3 of our park hopper passes), I just don't think I can justify it. :-( DD 9 LOVES to swim and I plan on having resort down time to swim so looking for an awesome pool!

IMHO, Coronado has the best pool for a moderate, hands down!

We've been in three of the mod pools and we really like Caribbean Beach.

But do consider renting DVC points if you want to stay at the Beach Club. We're going for a week next May and it's $1600 for seven nights, or about $230 a night, which is great for a deluxe and I think not much more than a moderate at the same time of year.

Coronado Springs is generally considered to have the 2nd best pool on property next to Beach club.

Unless you have toddlers. CBR has a great toddler pool.

Coronado with older kids, CBR or POFQ with littles.

FWIW, it can be difficult to rent points for BCV in the fall. I'd have a backup plan if you pursue that suggestion.

The pool is very important to us. My kids love pool time and we do midday breaks everyday at the pool. We stayed at CBR twice when DS was 9 and 11. He loved the pool. DD was 3 and 5 and loved the splash area. The theming is awesome. We always found a spot to sit. The pool bar is great.

Children must be under 48" tall to be in the toddler pool area.
Yep, this defines it.

CSR does not have the kind of splash area for children under 48" that they have at POFQ and CBR. CSR has the best slide of any of the moderates, but if someone is short/not a great swimmer, it may not be so great.

OVERALL looking at it with no personal requirements, CSR.
- Stunning pool area with one of the best slides, possibly largest hot tub on property, plenty of lounges/tables/chairs some with shade, creative playground right there at the pool, only one with quick service at the pool, mug refills, bar, beach volleyball, giant game board, arcade right at pool. It's a great pool area for all ages and it has full range of amenities right at the pool!

CBR - the Pirate pool design is cool and the rebuild has made it more enjoyable, possibly the largest moderate pool full of sunshine, zero entry here which is great for young families, 2 slides, 2 small intimate hot tubs removed from the pool area, a pool bar and a great pirate water splash pad playground. This is a great pool area for young active children.

POR - the Tom Sawyer style pool is on the island with a pool bar, hot tub not far from bar, curvy slide among the trees, lots of shade and trees and playground in trees behind the slide area. It is kinda an L shape with the kiddie pool, slide at one end and the hot tub and bar at other end. We used to call it the kids side and the adult side of the pool and there used to be a bridge over it visually separating the two.

POFQ - Is colorful and bright and very much geared for young children, the slide is small and not scary with full visibility for parents to watch kids, they just added a great splash water play area right at the pool, lots of deck space and chairs/lounges with lots of sunshine, bar at the pool, a small hot tub not in the pool area.

I would say that is a strong tie between CSR and CBR. Coronado has an awesome slide and an great hot tub. CBR has a zero entry pool and a water play area for small kids. You won't go wrong with either one.

We love CBR and CS. My 13 yr old gave a slight edge to CBR after swimming a couple weeks ago there. The slide is very good at CS but she likes the ones at CBR too. She is way too tall for the splash area to her disappointment.

I'd say CSR, by far has the Best pool of any moderate or lower, and I actually think better than a few deluxes/villas too.

I especially love the opening ceremony to open the pool too....Hopefully they still do it..( * Don't want to spoil it for anyone *by saying it* ):thumbsup2

We really liked the POR pool. Plus, POR has the boat to Disney Springs. Very pretty ride.
