Hi all. So me and my DF have finally decided on a late june '14 trip to WDW. We want to stay at a moderate resort to take advantage of the free QS dining plan on offer in the UK atm but I can't decide which one.
We have stayed at Port orleans french quarter before and really liked it so I don't know if we should stick with that or try some where else.
So, Port orleans french quarter, Port orleans Riverside, Carribbean beach or Coronado springs? Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated :flower3:
Thanks in advance pixiedust:

Stayed at Coronado for our wedding in June 2011. Very nice rooms, two great restaurants (we go back to the pepper market even if we aren't staying there just for the selection), and a nice lakeside bar. We didn't go to any of the pools but they looked pretty nice as well. Personally we probably won't stay there again because we like trying out new resorts every time, but I wouldn't be upset at all if we had to stay there again!

DH & I love POR. We just stayed there 2x in April in a Preferred room in Alligator Bayou section. The quiet pool just outside our buildings were great. Close to the bus stop and food court. Also the boat ride to DTD is another big plus. We also too a carriage ride around the resort which was nice and relaxing for DH's birthday. No issues with the buses. They ran constantly. There's a huge thread on here about Port Orleans Riverside to get lots of information on the resort. DH & I have stayed at Carribbean Beach & Coronado Springs & didn't like either of them. Too busy.

These types of questions are tough to awnser becasue it really comes down to personal taste, priorites, and vacation style.

I would say Coronado Springs for 2 adults because of the following:

Largest hot tub on WDW property, fitness center, Spa, Salon, Rix Lounge (outstanding night club style lounge), Lounge by the pool, Lounge outside main buliding by lagoon, 3 great quiet pools, beautiful scenery, not matter how full always a quiet spot to relax, generally considered best bus service on WDW property. Most of the CSR regulars consider it a Deluxe resort at the Moderate price. We'll be staying there for the 3rd time this December.

Its a hard decision! We (me and my boyfriend) stayed at POFQ and we totally loved everything about it. We like to try new places every time we go. But I think when it comes to moderates, we will always stay here!

I'm a big fan of Coronado for romantic trips. Not too many people with kids stay there, as the theming is better for kids at the other moderates. Combine that with the fact that it's a convention hotel, and you've got the quietest moderate available!

Since you will be on the QS plan, I'd go with POR. I think POR has the best food court on property, especially among the mods. I found POFQ's food court to be small with limited seating and limited offerings. CSR has the Pepper Market which is a strange set-up and also requires tipping. I can't speak to the food court at CBR, but I won't try CBR until they do a refurbishment and get queen beds.

Thanks for the responses everyone :thumbsup2 This thread has definitely made me put Coronado springs on my must do list but this time around we are gonna stop at Saratoga springs as it's currently 35% off with free Disney dining plan for us here in the UK and that deal is just too good to pass up :lovestruc
