We are looking to go May31-June 4 and we do not have children yet. We are partially celebrating our one year anniversary a little late. Which moderate would we like best??

We found the Port Orleans Riverside was very pretty and romantic. We perfered the mansions for romance when it was just the 2 of us....such a long time ago LOL. You can take the boat over to Downtown Disney at night which is a really pretty ride. They also have quite a few quiet pools around, I think you can rent the tandem bikes. One time we were able to see the fireworks(limited view) from EPCOT from outside our room door.

I like CB resort and Coronado resort. If you do a little research you may find a code or discount that will get you a deluxe like the Wilderness Lodge for only a litttle more money. Good luck!

Another vote for PO-Riverside. Thats where we went on our honeymoon and it was great. We had a room in the Bayou and didn't see another person until we got to the main area. It is so beautiful there as well.

Congratulations and enjoy!

DH and I loved CBR. We were celebrating our first anniversary and we found it very romantic. We had a corner room with a king bed. The quiet pool was always very romantic - often we were the only one in it. We really loved the tropical theming. We had a hard time deciding between WDW and a cruise to the Caribbean, so the atmosphere was great! It really felt like being in the Carribean. We were in Trinidad North which was far enough away from the main pool and food court to be quiet, but only a 3 minute walk away. :D

Port Orleans, french Quarter (POFQ)
. . . quaint and quiet
. . . not as many kids as other Moderates
. . . smallest of the Moderates at 1008 rooms.
. . . everything is a close walk
. . . theming of New Orleans is great
. . . great bar and lounge
. . . good food court
. . . serene grounds
. . . uncrowded hot tub
. . . easy & uncrowded boat ride to Downtown Disney
. . . when buses are shared, bus stops at POFQ before POR

All of the moderates are great resorts, but from a purely romantic viewpoint, I'd say either Caribbean Beach or Port Orlean Riverside's mansions section.

My first choice would be Caribbean Beach. Even though Caribbean Beach is a large resort it is NOT loud or overrun with kids. There are soft white sandy beaches from which you can see the higher fireworks from Epcot at night, there are hammocks on the beaches that are big enough for 2 people to share, and the entire tropical feel simply lends itself to romantic walks, especially at night :)

:D

I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the moderates, even though I haven't stayed at the POFQ (but it looks really nice from all of the pics I have seen). It comes down to theming and what you and your spouse like the best. I like the CSR over the CBR because there is more variety. At this time, I would choose POFQ because neither my girlfriend or myself have stayed there. Plus, I love the theming and it seems like it could make for a romantic setting.

We spent our honeymoon at the Port Orleans Freanch Quarter and had a great time.

Plus it just went through a major rehab and is opening again in March.
