Which mod Is best for young kids?

We're doing a quick trip in Dec (our first time staying in a Disney resort) and will be staying at All Star Movies. We're planning a longer trip (one week) Dec 2018 and plan to stay at a moderate. I'm hoping to book a BB offer when we're there in Dec, so curious which mod you would recommend and why. Kids will be ages 6 and 3 for the Dec 2018 trip. Or would you recommend a value resort? We plan to spend a little time enjoying the resort with probably one day devoted to relaxing at the resort and DS, but we'll spend most of our time in the parks.

POFQ: smallest mod resort + kiddie splash pad + boat to DSp

CSR: best mod pool/water slide + most central location + most dining options

Thank you! Should we consider POR as well (since it also has boat to DS and access to POFQ splash pad, right?)? Not sure which will be included in the BB offer.

@MamaBear12 - sure, POR has a great food court, it's family friendly, and it's usually included in discounts. (FQ is often excluded).

Honestly, it's hard to go wrong with the mods. I wouldn't recommend CBR right now because of construction that is affecting amenities (plus the seven bus stops are a downer), but that resort has a great pool too.

I'm going to make things more complicated and suggest POR or Caribbean Beach.

POR has a great food court, access to both it and French Quarter's pool, and no matter which room you are in, you will be near one of the four bus stops. I also think that the theme is great and if one of your kids is a girl, I bet she would love the Royal Guest Rooms. Also, if you end up in Alligator Bayou, you could get a room with two queen beds and a pull down bed. Our daughter loves those little pull down beds!

Caribbean Beach has an absolutely fantastic pool and splash pad and our daughter loved her stay there! It is pretty large and spread out, but if you book a preferred room, I don't think that the walk to the pool or dining would be bad. And, are you familiar with the Pirate Adventure Cruises? Children 4-12 are eligible. Our daughter did it when she was 6 and had a ball. Basically, the kids will get a pirate bandanna and eye patch, board a boat, and go on a pirate adventure where they are looking for buried treasure. Our daughter did the one that leaves from POR, but it looks like they have gotten rid of that one. Caribbean Beach still has one, though. Of course, you don't have to be staying at the resort to sign up, but it does make it a little easier on the parents. When my son was 4, we stayed at French Quarter, and he loved the dragon slide. We got him a swim vest, and going up and down that thing was the most fun thing ever for him. It was the perfect size for his age and swimming ability.

He also got a kick out of the fake alligator musicians, but he wasn't crazy about the giant masks in the food court. I think those are gone now though.

CBR. We did two trips when the kids were younger and they loved the pool area. I really enjoyed the resort.

POFQ. It is a the smallest of the moderates and has a great pool for little kids, and a new splash area.
