Donald's Safari Breakfast vs. Hollywood and Vine Lunch?

We are going next week and have ADR's booked at both places. All of our other meals are covered on the meal plan, but these 2 we will be paying oop. Which would you choose? We can only afford to do one or the other? THey are both booked for the same day with the breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and the Lunch at 11:00 a.m.

Thanks!

In all honesty, Donald's Safari Breakfast is WAY better. I remember loving it on our first Disney world trip almost a decade ago! :goodvibes
We just went to Hollywood and Vine for a dinner this past summer and our whole group of 6 HATED it. We were all disappointed. Hollywood and Vine is the only Disney World restaurant we have ever not liked...The food was just so-so...our servers hardly checked on us...and the mixed drinks were very gross and made too strong. :scared:

Tusker House hands down. And that comes from both the adults and the children. The breakfast is yummy, being first on the safari rocks, and the characters were awesome.
Hollywood & Vine is only worth it if you are there for breakfast and trying to get into the park before it actually opens.

Tusker House is THE BEST breakfast for our family. We love all the buffet choices and the characters were great also!

Since you are paying OOP for this meal, then I'd pick the one that has the characters you're kids like the best. We've been to both and like them both for different reasons. I'd choose Tusker if I only had to pick one.

Tusker House breakfast is wonderful before the park opens. The buffet is plentiful and pretty decent tasting. They have Donald outside for a photo op, then Goofy/Daisy/Donald/Mickey in their safari clothes. The characters only come around once. We always book an 8am ADR before the park opens. You can also see the characters in their safari clothes at the character trails in Camp Minnie Mickey.

Hollywood & Vine buffet is ok and the atmosphere is pretty lively. The characters seem to circulate around quickly, we usually see them twice. It's June/Leo from Little Einsteins, Handy Manny and Agent Oso. You can also see these characters outside the Animation Bldg. They do a group song where the kids can dance with the characters in the middle of the dining area which is fun.

We've enjoyed both of them. Also, breakfast is always a cheaper meal than lunch if you're paying OOP. Have fun deciding!!
