Which Loop

Been lurking around this forum for a month or two and just joined this morning. We will be heading to the Fort in the March /April time frame in a 36ft class A motorhome with 4 slides. Me, DW, our 9 yr old son and 7yr old daughter for at least 5 days, and for this trip no pets. My question is, which is the best loop(I'm guessing we want a premium site) as far as location for Fort Wilderness activities and still be close enough to the ferry into the Magic Kingdom.

We've been to Disney before, and even stayed at the Fort in a cabin but that was long ago. This trip we'd like to spend 2 days in the parks, and 2 days at the Fort.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed and would be greatly appreciated, looking forward to hearing from the veteans of this incrdeible forum.

Thanks,

Mark

I would recommend 500. It's a premium with lots of room and is convenient to the Meadows Recreation Area (1 loop away) and to the Marina (one loop away), and right across the street from the dog park (should you need it). It has it's own comfort station (don't have to walk to another loop), and is nestled between two of the three bus routes for quick access to the outpost. JMHO

We really like 400. It is close to the marina and to the campfire program. I am not sure there are any loops that are not pet-friendly anymore. Disney seems to put them where ever they want anymore or the people just don't tell them they have a pet.:confused3 I have never stayed in 100 but it is a good loop also and closest to the marina. It can be a little tight. If you have a golf cart or rent one, any loop would be great because you wouldn't have to rely on the internal bus system...:sad2: . We drive to all the parks except MK. This past trip(Nov. 08) we were in 1300 and I really liked it because it is in the middle of the campground and you can walk to the Meadow's TP, pool & campfire program. I didn't however like the orange bus route because it goes to WL and through the cabin loop and takes forever to get to your loop. We also really like 1400 because the sites are so big(at least ours was) and it is in a central location also. So, I guess we like 400 for best location(small sites) and 1400 for nicer sites and central location.:)

You will get lots of opinions on favorties but the best advice I ever got from a Disser was to request what you want in a site(near marina, near pool, comfort station, playground, bus stop, etc....) instead of a specific site or loop and they can usually accomodate you best that way based on your rig and knowing exactly what you want.

Welcome and have a great time at Disney!pixiedust:

I agree--we have a 40 ft MH with 4 slides. Easy in & out, plenty of space on the pad.
