My daughter is 2.5 and is getting a leapster for Christmas from my parents. Which games would be best for her? She knows colors, shapes, and letters so any games with those she should be able to handle. The reading, adding, and subtracting type games are going to be too hard for sure. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!

My daughter was 3 when she started using a leapster and till this day (4.5 years old) she loves pet pals. The color corral that is preloaded on the system is also very easy to use. Really a leapster is best for 3+ years old.

My 3.5 yr old still has trouble with some of the easy games, your little one will probably need help, at least in the beginning. Pet Pals is a big favorite here, I would probably start with Mr Pencil.

Letterpillar was one of the first favorites for my ds-I think he was about 2.5 when he first picked up big bros & started playing with it. He also liked the Dora & Diego ones but he also doesn't get discouraged easily. The good thing about leapster is that they let you keep trying till you get it right. I agree with the previous poster--go by the age recommendations on the game & you can't go wrong! Highly recommend it!

My DD5 got hers at age 3 and loved the princess ones. Letter recognition, colors, etc. Most of the games have 3 levels which is great. Mr. Pencil is also a good one.
