What land do you think we should stay in during the first Spectro performance? I know that you can actually get trapped if you are not in the right location when the parade starts.

Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Mickey's Toontown are all "parade-free".
As far as getting "trapped" even where the parade passes... unless it is actually THERE, you can still cross the roads.
Spectro is about 16 minutes from start to finish.
(Which means if YOU are standing at one spot, it will take 16 minutes to GO BY). But since the parade route is so long... it takes about 45 minutes for the parade to finally fully exit the MK parade route at the other end.
It begins near the Fire Station on Main Street and goes to and around the "Hub" in front of the castle, into Liberty Square, though Frontierland and out of the park between the McDonald's Fries Wagon and Splash Mountian.
It takes a long time for a parade that starts on the hour to even REACH many points along the way. (i.e. The start of Spectro does not reach the Country Bears theater until about 20+ minutes after it begins on Main Street.)
So you can plan accordingly, if need be.
