Which Keens?

Looking to get a new pair for our upcoming trip. I've never worn them before. Going to order from shoebuy, since I can ship them back for free. Looking at Venice H2 or Newports. Anyone have any suggestions?

I can give you my personal opinion. I bought my first pair of Keens without realizing that there were 2 different styles for women. The men only seem to have the Newports. Well, I purchased the Venice. Now, I like the comfort and concept of the shoe, but the Venice rub annoyingly on the top of my foot where it bends b/c it is more open with less straps. My husband and kids have the Newports and have no complaints. As a matter of fact I just ordered a pair of the Newports this week from Sierra Trading b/c I am tired of the rubbing from the other style. I hope they work and that it is not my feet that is the problem. Sierra Trading has them on sale with an extra discount if you sign up for their email alerts. Check it out!

My foot is wide and the venice are my shoe of choice. My kids vary based on width as to which they prefer.

My venice don't rub me- but again my foot is wide.

Love my Keen Newports -- they were practically all I wore in WDW last year! My feet are pretty average, width-wise, if that helps.

I have the newports h2 and I love love love them! I have very high arches and wide feet and they do not rub me anywhere. very comfy!

Agree. Newports wouldn't work on me, but the Venice work great

I love the Venich H2's...got them after someone on these boards recommended them. I purchased them from Sierra Trading, great company.

The Whisper runs a bit narrow too.

I have a narrow foot. Newports fit much better. (but I do have 1 pair of Venice Keens)

And the Whisper ones are more narrow than the Newports. And less "clunky." Not as thick of a sole at Newports or the Venice. There's a Whisper Slide and one with a back strap. I have the slides. They are comfy.

I am going through that now. I ordered the venice because I thought they would be more comfortable plus I got a great deal on them. Well, my toe next to my baby toe keeps slipping out of the shoe on my right foot. I have only worn them around the house tonight to test them and they're going back. I can't stand them. Love the feel if it had more to keep your toes in. I am going to purchase the newports. I am hoping they're worth the extra money since the color I really want isn't on sale anywhere.

Those of you that own Keens, do you find they run pretty true to size? I generally wear Merrells or Tevas and can usually pick a 9 off the shelf and wear it. Any opinions?

I would say yes. I wear a 10 in everything BUT sneakers (for whatever reason I have to go up a size to a 11 ), but my Keen Whispers are 10 and I love them. Hope that helps.

I wore my Venice H2's during my April trip. Never even touched my sneakers. Loved them so much I bought another pair! Also have the Waimea Flip Flops, just as comfy and will be wearing them in October.
