Which itinerary?

I've narrowed it down to two itineraries. We definitely need some downtime (betweenbour two kids we have ASD, SPD, EDS, bowel disorder) and late nights must be followed by a rest morning. Last day has to be a short day since we have a really early flight home Tuesday.

Of the two, which looks to be the best as far as allowing physical and mental downtime, while still trying to get the most out of the trip?

I have a photo of the two itineraries in the link.

I would lean more toward the first itinerary. It sounds like it will be a fun but exhausting trip so I think a full rest day might be nice. Plus depending on when you’re going esp if it’s during food and wine Epcot tends to be more crowded on a Saturday. That way everyone is recharged for the two slightly longer last days.

Yes, we will be there during F&W. That's true, I forgot about the weekend being so busy at EP...

I was actually leaning towards doing EP on our arrival night since it's evening EMH, and it would be neat to see the showcase at night. I was thinking that we'll probably all be amped up and excited, then we would have two full rest days, but.... just not sure if we'll be tired after traveling or not. We don't have to be at the airport till 8:30 and it's only 10 minutes from our hotel, so... it won't be any early morning for us by any means. And it's a direct flight, we land at 2:05. I'm assuming in our room by 4:00, give ourselves an hour to unpack etc.. we could probably be in the park for 6:00, but... I dunno.

Epcot usually does have EMH Tuesday nights so you wouldn’t have to leave by 9, but then you’d have to worry about it slowing you down the next morning. Being in the parks by 6 is definitely feasible but may involve some rushing around. What resort are you staying at?

All Star Movies. If we did it, we wouldn't plan to enter the parks next day till probably 1:00

If you think your kids will be ok after the plane ride, maybe it would be worth doing Epcot the first day and going to MK later. If you can get to MK later in the day and then stay until the fireworks that would eliminate the back and forth that day. That's the most difficult part of midday breaks, how much time they eat up going back and forth to the parks especially for the resorts that rely on bus transportation.

#2 has you seeing both Fantasmic! and the SW Fireworks at HS while #1 only has you seeing F!, is that going to be an issue? If so then I would go with #2.

They would like to see it, but honestly, it's not a make or break for them. Their "must do" is Fantasmic. It's more myself that would really love to see both... lol. But I can suck it up and deal with it, lol. To be fair, if they really wanted to find time for anything, it would be a day at Blizzard Beach. We missed it last time, and they've never been to a "real" water park before. They both really want to go, but I just don't think we can swing the extra cost.
