which is your favorite "mister"

I keep reading about all of your suggestions for having fan misters, so in taking your wonderful advice again, I want to get us some misters. Which is your favorite or what do I look for in buying one?

We bought one a couple of years ago in DL. It was red with some charcters on it and had a neck thing (like the pin traders have) so you didnt have to carry it. They sold them around the parks at the vendors. Our son loved it.

Last summer we bought one of the DLR fan misters and had problems with the battery door opening up. We exchanged it for another one, but that one did it too It cools down nicely and my boys liked it at first, but after a while they decided that it's heavy and bugs their necks. The $20.00 DL mister that they just had to have now sits in a closet

We have the smaller misty-mates (see other post on this one) and I love them! No batteries, lightweight and small enough to fit in a pocket or bag. I bought ours at Wal-Mart and they are pretty inexpensive.

We have the classic Misty Mate with the insulated cover. It works great - no batteries - but I do wish it was a bit smaller. I think, however, 2.5 oz ones are too small for us.

ETA: we also have had tons of the kind that they sell in the parks with the little foamy pinwheels. They always break on us, they are bulky, they use up batteries fast, etc. Much prefer the Misty Mate, in that regard.

we just refill it in the fountains there small enough to fit in my back pack and there only the size of a tooth brush. we got ours on ebay for 2.99 each! no batterys, you just pump the bottom a few times and mist away!

I also saw them at safeway last summer. yeah, he must have saw summer coming and decided to raise the price.
