My family will be using the counter service dining plan for our upcoming vacation in May. I was wondering about the best counter service park options.

Which counter service is the best in each park in terms of quality and value? Pictures would be great if you have them!

MK: Columbia Harbor House, Pecos Bills

AK: Flame Tree

Ep: so many, but favorite is Tangierine Cafe

DHS: :confused3 IMO, none are great.

At MK we enjoy Harbor House (near the haunted mansion) and Pecos Bill. Harbour House can be equated to a Long John Silvers. Pecos Bill a regular burger joint.

At AK, Flaming Tree... BBQ chicken and ribs were yummy.

Epcot we've only done sit downs.

DHS the pizza place in the Pixar section. Pretty good pizza, with the salade (which came with it) we were full. CRAZY BUSY though in June.

DHS also has the ABC Comminsary and a place near the Backlot. We ate at the comminsary all 3 trips last year, pretty decent chicken sandwhich and not very busy, especailly @ off times.

MK - Columbia Harbour House - good seafood options. Tuna Sandwich and Fried Shrimp. Lots of other yummy choices.
Honorable Mention - Pecos Bill's. Good fixins bar that can dress up/fill up most anything.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ hands down. Ribs, smoked chicken and more.

EP - wow, hard to choose. Sunshine Seasons for the variety and the Strawberry Shortcake. In the Showcase - fish n chips at Yorkshire. I just can't say no to that.
Honorable Mention - Tangeriene Cafe - lots of people hate it, but the Schwarma Platter was a huge hit with me n mine.

HS - ummmmmmmmmm......... just use snack credits okay. Starring Rolls has awesome cupcakes and Cinnamon Rolls. Writer's Stop has a Carrot Cake Cookie that rocks too.

MK - Columbia Harbour House
Epcot - Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe and Sunshine Seasons
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
DHS - Wolfgang Puck Express and DTD. We don't like DHS so often pop over to DTD.

It all really depends on what I feel like eating at the time.

Have had decent (usually lunch) meals at:

MK
Columbia Harbor House
Cosmic Ray's
Casey's

EPCOT:
All but the American Pavilion

DHS
None

AK
Have had a sandwich at Pizzafari and some snacks from Yak and Yeti.
Don't much like the counter services here either. (Really dislike Flame Tree).

HS: Starring Rolls (great coffee, sandwiches and yummy butterfinger [& other] cupcakes)
MK: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
EP: Boulangerie Patisserie in France
Downtown Disney (I know you didn't ask about it, but this place is SO good I have to mention it - great quality and great portion sizes [we went 3 times in December]): Earl of Sandwich!

Next time we plan to do way more counter service. It's nice to have more time for the parks. (Sit down meals can take hours.)

Have fun!

My favorite at the studios is Pizza Planet. Food is good but if you take it outside and snag one of the patio tables you can't beat the atmosphere.

At the kingdom we always rely on Cosmic Rays if it is crowded. They always seem to have room.

At epcot fw Sunshine Seasons offers something a little out of the ordinary. In WS, the counter service in France is lovely if you grab food to go and find a pretty place outside to enjoy it. Besides french deserts are devine!

Don't have a fav at AK.

DAK=Flame Tree BBQ
Epcot=either Tangierine Cafe or Sunshine Seasons
MK=Columbia Harbour House or MK Bakery
DHS=none-we like to leave and try a resort CS instead

Magic Kingdom- Columbia Harbor House or Cosmic Rays
Animal Kingdom- Flame Tree Barbeque
Epcot- Katsura Grill (Yakatori House)
Hollywood Studios- none really but if I had to choose it would be Pizza Planet
Downtown Disney- Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich

AK - Flame Tree Barbeque and Restaurantasaurus

MK - Columbia Harbour House and Cosmic Ray's

DHS - Backlot Express (it's the only decent one really)

Epcot - Tangierine Cafe, La Cantina, Boulangerie Patisserie

DTD - Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express

AK: Flame Tree
DHS: Starring Rolls or Backlot Express
Epcot: Kringla Bakery or Sunshine Seasons
MK: CHH or Cosmic Ray's
DTD: Earl of Sandwich, Cookes of Dublin

Hmmm, best QS eateries?
In our opinion . . .
. . . Epcot-FW: Sunshine Seasons (maybe the best QS in WDW)
. . . Epcot-WS: Yorkshire Fish and Chips
. . . MK: Columbia House
. . . AK: Flame Tree (good ribs)
. . . DHS: Backlot Express
. . . DTD: Earl of Sandwich
. . . BB: Lottawatta Lodge
. . . TL: Typhoon Tilly's
. . . Deluxe Resorts: Capt Cook's at Poly
. . . Moderate Resorts: Sassagoula Floatworks at POFQ
. . . Value Resorts: Intermission at ASSMo

NOTE: We are not ranking QS eateries. Our fav's are Sunshine Seasons
and Flame Tree's ribs. We are simply listing better QS eateries.

Everyone seems to have the same opinions :thumbsup2 Columbia Harbour House has really good food. Go before the evening parade and you can walk outside and sit down to watch. Epcot has some really good choices and it's a great place to taste something different. HS has the lamest choices by far. Your best bet is to go there after you eat for evening EMH or do the morning and get something at Starring Rolls. Just a heads up - the bakery is always crowded. Enjoy.

Magic Kingdom- Pecos Bills has great burgers and a toppings bar with hot cheese and sauteed onions and other goodies.
We also liked Colombia Harbour House for fish and chips and chicken nuggets.

AK- Flametree Barbecue was really good for the ribs and the chicken. Large portions.
Restaurantosaurus was good too. I had the burger and Mom had the grilled veggie sandwich. We were both pleased with our choices. Large portions.

DHS- Starring Rolls Bakery has sandwiches (a limited amount though so dine early) and Butterfinger cupcakes!

EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons Food fair in The Land pavilion had a large variety and quality was good too.
Lotus Blossom Cafe in China had orange chicken that was tasty and Mom had a sesame chicken salad. Portions were large and we had plenty to eat. The carmel ginger ice cream was really good too there.
Tangeriene Cafe in Morrocco has gyros that we enjoyed too.

I'll go along with the majority for counter service:
Magic Kingdom - Columbia Harbor House
AK - Flame Tree Barbecue
HS - Starring Rolls (sandwiches are delicious!)
EPCOT - Mexico or China

For table service:
Magic Kingdom - The Plaza Restaurant
HS - 50's Prime Time Cafe (for the Fried Chicken)
EPCOT - Les Chefs de France (much better than Le Cellier this trip)
AK - N/A

Resorts:
Polynesian - Kona Cafe

We just returned from 6 days and would rate our most favorite meals as Les Chefs, and Kona Cafe.
