We (4 adults by Disney's chart) would be going in August next year with the free dining at a Value or if it's a better deal we would try to go with the book 4 get 3 free nights deal. Anyone know when that 4/3 deal is anyway? Thanks in advance for your help.:)

We find the 4/3 deal a bigger bargain but we are a family of 6 at a Deluxe concierge- getting 3 free nights is way better that way than the food savings.

At a value? So you would be saving about $300? Vs. the dining plan for free- I would say free dining plan.

I think this is a moot point because the 7 for 4 has only been offered in the first half of the year. In 2009 it was Jan-June. This year it was Jan-Mar. So it's doubtful it will be offered in August next year.

If the 4/3 deal is a better deal we might change our date to go then so if anyone has advice please post.

So being it's offered Jan-June does anyone know if spring break is blacked out?

They usually black out holidays- but if you book DAY ONE of the deal announcement you sometimes get lucky. We have twice! The 4/3 deal we got both times in July.

I think you're right, the free dining at a value is a better deal than the 4/3. Thank you everyone for your help

Oh, sorry I didn't mean that the 4/3 deal is being offered now, it's just that I was asking for the future when they might offer it.

Check www.MouseSavers.com I think may be 4/3 deals list for now! :cheer2:
No. Thats for DisneyLAND not WDW. The WDW offers are either free dinning, Or a giftcard. Or a room discount. To the op, free dinning is a better deal for you if your two adults and two juniors staying in a value resort. When disney offers "stay x days get y free" the value resorts require a five night stay to get 2 free. That drives the savings down.

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

I think I finally get it now! :rolleyes1 Thanks to your post

We would never buy the dining plan, we're just not big eaters, and we're at WDW to ride/do/see....not eat. We also wouldn't be staying deluxe, probably value MAYBE moderate.

To price out which is the best value for the money, I should see how much the 4/3 deal, or the % off deal would give me....versus what free dining would give me. Granted, I wouldn't ever buy the dining plan, but I'm sure I would spend $300 on food for the week for a family of 4.

There is not 4/3 deal and there is no rumor of a 4/3 deal.

But, if a 4/3 deal came out, you would save still save more money with the free dining discount if you are staying at a value resort - it should be over $1,000.00 savings with free dining, 4/3 would save you less than $500.00.
