So thanks to WEBWORM.....I am rethinking my car rental, but have a ?

The Dollar rent a car location is at the Wyndham resort on Disney property and so is the Car Care center.

We plan on doing MK that day.

Which location would be quicker to return a car to on our way to MK?

If it takes about the same amount of time, then the $ differance will cause me to change to Dollar for sure!

I don't think its important on which is closer because once on the road everything is at most 20 minutes away from any thing else.

I think you should pick the one where you can get to the MK the easiest.

Dollar is I think on Hotel Resort Blvd near DTD. There are no buses that go from DTD to the parks and I'm not sure you can use the shuttle that the DTD properties use.

I think there is some way to get you from the car care center to the TTC since its right there.

I know I'd be saving about $50. but with the time we lose and most likely having to get a taxi, just the stress of it I'm willing to pay more!

We only have 1 day at MK and I don't want to spend most of it returning the car!

They also provide free shuttle service to and from your resort. You just have to call them ahead of time to make the arrangements for the shuttle service. The number is

I would look into the shuttle at the Car Care Center. I haven't used it for quite a while, but they used to drive you to the park or resort of your choice after you drop off the car. For the MK they would probably take you to the TTC or you could ask them to take you to the Contemporary and you could walk to the MK.

To save time on your MK day one alternative would be to drop off the car at the Dolphin late the night before. You would leave the car with the valet services (they're open 24 hours). They will give you a receipt. You could walk over to the Boardwalk and take a taxi back to your resort or if DHS is still open you could walk/boat over there and take a bus.

We always use Alamo but we've unfortunately never been able to get them to pick us up or drop us off at a park -- their shuttle is strictly to and from the resorts, so if you want to use CCC and then go to MK, I 2nd somebody else's advice about having them drop you at the contemporary.

They always tell us you have to book your shuttle at least 1 hour in advance, but it could be the morning of.

If renting from Dollar is going to save you $50 though, I'd go with that and take a taxi if necessary to a resort so you could bus to MK, or even just take the taxi to the front gate of MK
