The theming at the Caribbean Beach is....tropical/beach. The buildings are all brightly painted and there is lots of lush landscaping. Each village has their own pool and white sandy beach.
The rooms at the CBR are 340 square feet which is a bit larger than the other moderates. There are two sinks at the CBR which come in handy when getting ready in the a.m.
There is a marina at the CBR. You can rent watermice, pontoon boats, bicycles and surrey bikes. The walk around the promenade is very pretty and goes around the entire resort.
We really liked the food court. They offered a variety of foods to choose from. There is also a full service restaurant....Shutters and we felt the food was above par.
Bus service was always very efficient. The CBR is centrally located so it never took us long to reach any destination.
I have never stayed at either resort but am pretty familiar with them. If I had to choose I would pick the POR for a honeymoon of POFQ..if it was between these two hotels. The southern, New Orleans feeling seems romantic to me. Even though I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon and I go into the caribbean a lot... I do not think the Caribbean Beach resort has a romantic feel...just my opinion..have fun
