Country Inn & Suites Calypso Cay, Holiday Inn Sunspree LBV, or Holiday Inn Express LBV? Which is next closest?

We stayed at HI Sunspree last month & were very pleasantly surprised by our experience. It was much better than I expected. (I'm kind of a hotel snob, & was dreading staying there. :o ) I'm tempted to just stay there again, since we know what to expect. Then again, the other 2 offer free breakfast & HI Sunspree doesn't. Our choice may come down to distance from the parks, since they all seem to be similar in quality.

Thanks in advance for the info. :)

PS: I tried finding a physical address for each of the parks, so I could map the distances myself. I didn't have any luck with that though. If anyone knows the physical addresses, that would be great too.

If you have access to a recent Unofficial Guide, they measure driving times to each park. Mine is not handy, unfortunately.

The 2 Holiday Inns are both real close and should be about 10 - 15 minutes to the parks; Country Inn probably about 15 - 20 minutes, if you use Osceola Pkwy (quickest way) there's a 75 cent toll, need exact change both ways. HI Express LBV is on Palm Pkwy, during afternoon rush hour 4-6, traffic can back up pretty badly going towards WDW, a lot of locals use it as cut through and the traffic light system isn't really designed to handle that volume of traffic.

I'm not sure where the Holiday Inn Express is, but I do know that Calypso Cay is off of Vineland which is a pain in the butt to get in and out of. Traffic is pretty heavy on that road, especially on Sundays because of church. And Sunspree is in the same area as Calypso, but on the opposite side so it's just a quick 10 minutes tops to DTD.

Thanks to both of you for the info. As I mentioned earlier, we stayed at HI Sunspree last month. We didn't go to any of the parks though. We did go to DTD a couple times. I agree, it was very close. Do you have to go that way to get to the parks or is there a quicker way to some of them? The same goes for the CI Calypso Cay & HI Express. Do you go the same way to get to all the parks from each hotel? Is there a shortcut to some parks? I'm trying to get a feel for what our longest drive will be. We're booked at the Dolphin, but it turns out that we'll be taking our 4-legged baby girl. ;) Going from no driving to a long drive will be less than thrilling for my DH. :o

I was always told the quickest way to MK was to take 535, turn right on the road that the Nickelodeon hotel is on and then follow the signs. DTD and Epcot you would just take the road right across from Crossroads (sorry, I suck at remembering street names). I'm not sure the best way for MGM, though.

Thanks :) I'm not good with road names either. Hopefully, my DH will know what road you're referring to. :p
