We always gor for 3 weeks and sometimes do hotel then villa, This year we did all 3 weeks at Pop. Myself and my MIL thought it might be a good ides to stay in 3 different Disney hotels, one a week. We would like to know which ones your would choose from POP, which we love! Carribean Beach, Port Orleans Riverside or French quarter or Coronado springs? As we have never stayed in any of the moderate hotels we were wandering which ones offer the most for your money, how many pools, whats the food court like, decor?

Any info would be great.

POP is my favourite resort, i am a Kid at heart and adore the theming! I also like POR, it is a romantic, laid back resort (as laid back as you get in Disney!) The boat to Downtown Disney is nice as are the pools. The food court is pretty good, plenty of seats and the restaurant is nice too :thumbsup2

Por is my favourite, went back in 2001 for our honeymoon and are going again in 3 weeks time.:cool1:

i could not handle changing hotels l coult not handle the packing and unpacking would drive me nuts - but i vote for por it has a main pool plus other smaller pools the downtown river boat (which we used everytime) a decent restaurant and food court. plus very nice themeing in the main foyer, the only problem was with the pull out beds the amount of times me and my dh caught our legs on them.

we stayed at POR and loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was lovely, gorgeous grounds, great food court with a much better choice than POFQ or any of the other moderates.

I've stayed at both cbr and csr - and they are both great!!!! They have their main pools but each 'village' has its own quiet pool which is great (especially for adults!!) ;)

CSR is a convention hotel - so it seems alot quieter during the day when the majority of their business guests are in conventions. Plus its got a spa area and pizza delivery. Pepper Market is also the best food area of any of the hotels imho!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Interestingly there have been quite a few polls on the resorts thread recently and CSR has consistently been voted one of the best hotels - even when compared to the deluxes!!:thumbsup2

hope that helps a little!!:lovestruc

We enjoyed POFQ mainly for the size, it never felt that crowded and the pool was often empty. You can also use POR's facilities (and vice versa) which is a nice bonus. Obviously it doesn't have as many of it's own facilities as the other moderates do but we didn't find this a problem as we only used the foodcourt for breakfast and hardly ever used the pool, just depends what's important to you really :)

Hi,

The only moderate we have stopped in is the C.B.R. and I have to say we we would not stop there again.

The resort and accomodation it's self was nice but we found out ( we got moved mid holiday due to a power failure ) that if you stayed in the 'wrong island' you could end up visiting all the other islands on the Disney buses prior to leaving the rsort for the parks. This could be as long as 1/2 an hour each trip.

Hence we felt felt as though we had spent a fair bit of our hoilday on the Disney buses!

But it is our choice not have a car and if you had one you would not have this issue.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Andrew
