Hello! I am helping my friend plan their August Disneyland trip. Which hotels (not onsite Disney properties), can you see the evening fireworks from? And if you can remember, which building to request?
Thanks!

We stayed at the HOJO in December and we could see the fireworks from there.

I booked at stay in July at the Carousel Inn - they claim you can see the fireworks from their rooftop pool....

HoJo Bldg 1 has a good view. We were on the 3rd floor and even with the little pine trees in our way we could still see them. And we could even hear part of the soundtrack. It was verrrrry quiet but we could hear it. We stayed at the Topicana and could see them from the 3rd story balcony, not completely but we could see them. We stayed at BWPPI but we were only there overnight so we were in the park for the fireworks. :)

We were able to see them from the Hyatt Regency Orange County. It is much better to see them from inside the park though, b/c the accompanying music MAKES the show.

Ok, i'll encourage them to stay in the park for the music, and also put the hotels mentioned above on the list. Thank you all! :goodvibes

I forgot, we stayed at the Radisson Maingate in 2006 and we had a good view of the fireworks. Really good! We were up on the 9th floor or something so we were way up there. You can see them in DTD too but no soundtrack. If you are staying at the Paradise Pier you can see them from the pool and they pipe in the soundtrack. :)

Can't usually see them from the rooms, but the breakfast area of the Park Vue Inn has a balcony where you can watch the fireworks.

Camelot inn pool deck - great view (at least it would have been if they didn't cancel the fireworks every night we were there!!!)

We have stayed at the Sheraton and you can watch the fireworks from the pool.

You can see them from the Fairfield Inn as well.

I watched them from my hotel room at the Park Vue Inn

This past December I watched the fireworks from my bed at the Sheraton Park Hotel. Nice hotel and just ask for a Disneyview. It was cool.

Last February we stayed at Hotel Menage (just across I-5) and asked for a room with a view of the fireworks. The best they could do was a view from the balcony in front of our room, but it was good. Wish I would have asked for a "quiet" room, because our room was right over a very loud and obnoxious wedding they didn't tell us about.

Anyway, we also stayed at the Radisson in May 2007, but when we searched for that hotel again, it was gone! Not sure what happened to it, but it had a perfect (and surprising) view of the fireworks.

You can watch them from the breakfast room at the Carousel, or the rooftop pool.
