Which deluxe hotel would you recommend for a honeymoon?

Oh wow...

Personally, we love the Yacht Club! I know I'm partial since we got married there, but I love the location! So close to Epcot!

On the other hand, the GF is GORGEOUS and the Contemporary and Poly are so unique and convenient being on the Monorail!

I think the best way to answer your question is to ask yourself what your dream view/experience would be. Do you dream of waking up every morning looking onto the MK and the Castle, or onto Epcot? Or would you rather wake up and see awesome animals?

Once you know what you want to wake up seeing, and what park you want to be closest to, it'll make your choice easier. Or at least I hope!

We stayed at the GF and it was absolutely beautiful and the castmembers went above and beyond the call of duty on anything we asked. We had a Castleview room and it was so cool to sit out on our balcony at night with champagne and watch "Wishes". We also stayed at the GF for our 1st anniversary and it was even better - we got upgraded to one of the honeymoon turret rooms!!!

I LOVE the Grand Floridian and cannot imagine not staying there at least two or three nights on any given trip to WDW!!!

I think the above poster gave great advise! We couldn’t pick just one resort for our honeymoon, so we split our stay between the GF and BWI. We loved both resorts. The GF has the convenience of the monorail, plus it’s such a pretty resort. The BWI is super close to Epcot, which is great as well. We also love the AKL and YC. Really, you can’t go wrong.

My fiance and I have chosen the GF for our wedding/honeymoon #1 (honeymoon #2 will be occurring at Jamaica during the following week!! yay!!) We are getting a "lodge tower" room, which is a smidge bigger than their standard rooms (it has an extra sitting area and lots more windows) and just a tad more expensive too.

If money were no object I would have spent our honeymoon at the GF. I love that resort! We stayed at the BWI (love the location, and the nightlife on the boardwalk) and at AKL, Savannah view. Waking up with the animals right outside was fantastic. But like ead79 said, really, you can go wrong. All the resorts are great, its up to your own personal tastes.

We stayed at the Grand floridan in a torret suite room and it was beautiful, we also stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and I loved that too. I really liked being on the lagoon, it felt like home for us in the adirondacks. It's a tough decision because they are so different but they are all great.

We will be staying at th Boardwalk for ours. We like that it has nightlife, and is so close to 2 parks. We think the resort itself is just so beautiful.

My 3 favorite deluxe resorts are the Grand Floridian, The Beach Club, and the Polynesian....I guess there my 3 favorite because they're the only one's I've stayed in.

The Beach Club - We love that it's in walking distance to epcot and that we can walk over to the Board Walk to eat in what my fiance calls a piece of heaven...the espn sports bar. We also like that you can walk to Fantasia Mini Golf over by the Swan and Dolphin. Not to mention the pool at the Yatch and Beach club is amazing. Also you don't need to be in epcot to watch illuminations.

The Polynesian - It makes you feel like you are on this tropical island and not even in disney. We love eating at ohanna's when we were there and from our balcony we had a view of the castle and watched wishes every night.

The Grand Floridian - This hotel is absoutly beautiful and that's all I can remember about it. We stayed there alot when I was little because it was so close to the Magic Kingdom.

What are your personalities like? When your on vacation do you just want to kick back and relax away from it all? Or do you want to be in the center of everything? The YC and BW are right in the center of things, and the GF, Contemporary, and Poly are right along the monorail to get you places quick if you don't have a car. But if you want to kick back and be a bit more isolated the AKL or WL would be nice as well. The WL has boats to get you to places and the AKL apparently has great bus transportation.

What themes appeal to you? Personally as nice at the GF looks to some people, I get very bored with it. The Polynesian is more my style, but not busy enough. This is probably why we chose the CB over the Poly though! Do you like animals? The AKL would be great! Do you prefer to be in a rustic setting? The WL would be fantastic!

How important are water activities to you? For us they were very important which is why we are spending the first half of our stay at a resort WITH water activities.

Splitting your stay is also a great idea! I gave my husband free reign of where we stayed and he couldn't make up his mind b/w the CB and AKL so were staying at both.

Also, try to find out the good and bad about every resort. A lot of people LOVE the GF but I hated it with an unrivaled passion. We had things stolen from our room and the staff told us there was nothing they could do about the, and I quote, "trivial" items, and they also said it was our fault our CLOTHES had been stolen. My family was rather outraged b/c clothes are impossible to lock up! And mind you we even still had our clothes in our suitcases and zipped up and everything! So just be careful before you make a decision. A friend of mine had the same thing happen at the WL (I've never been there but have heard great things) adn the staff went out of their way to help them until they found the CM responsible!

But Grand Floridian is the place to be
They have a Honeymoon section!!!!!!
They also have the charm and Romance that no other resort comes close to.....
