We are DL newbies, I would love some advise. Looking at a Good Neighbor Hotel but there are a lot of choices! We are a family of 5 so I'm thinking that we probably need a suite of some type. Any light you could shed on this would be great.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites and were quite comfortable. There was only 1 bathroom, but it worked out ok. There was one room with 2 queen size beds and then a living area with a fold out couch and a kitchenette.

So did we, and loved it. It is about a mile away from DL, but they have a very convenient shuttle that runs evey half hour (there is a small charge for this) They also offer a free daily hot breakfast. Mon-Th, they serve a lite dinner, with beer and wine.

The rooms are large and in addition to what the other poster wrote, they have 2 flat screen TV's, which is nice. There is a Target right across the srteet, and several restaurants close by.

A few years ago, we stayed at The Portofino Inn & Suites. We had a kids suite, which consisted of a regualar hotel room, and then a room that had bunk beds, and a pull out couch. It was ok....don't know if I would stay there again.

Best Western Park Place Inn & Suites (BWPPI) is right across the street (you can't get any closer) and has a mini suite that has two Q beds and a pull-out sofa. It works for our family of 5, and we are all adult sized now! It is very convenient for going back to the hotel for a rest in the afternoon.
