Which hotel would be the best choice for us with two teenage girls. Are any of the three hotels closer or easier to get to the parks from? We will most likely get two rooms next to each other unless there is a suite that provides private bedrooms and two baths. We are open to suggestions.

This is our first time at Universal, Orlando.

Thank you

I would def. suggest Hard Rock hotel!! Stay on property (either Hard Rock, Royal Pacific, or portofino) to get the front of the line access, YOUR GIRLS will think you totally ROCK! They get to skip the lines (similar to an unlimited Fast Pass-Disney) NO LINES!! Plus the hotel is very cool. RPH is really nice too but with teenages, HR- Portofino is also beautiful but not an easy walk to parks, very big street to cross and I would be nervous about just letting your girls go.

HR is walking a path right to Citywalk & IOA & Universal- you will not be disappointed!! Plus you will be the coolest mom in the WORLD, I promise- feel free to PM me if you have ANY questions at all, been there so many times, know it inside and out....

Actually my teenage girls like the RPR. They like the pool area because there is always something going on. They esp. like the pool volleyball and we always are able to find a table/chair at the pool. They have great poolside service too. Very attentive. It's a quick walk to City Walk and the parks.

Portofino has a walking path that actually joins into the Hard Rock walking path. You don't need to cross any streets unless you are taking the short cut.

Hard Rock is the closest hotel. Royal Pacific is second closest. All have boat access so you really don't have to worry about anyone walking alone.

Thanks for the update on what is closest.

Sounds like we can not go wrong with any of the choices. I am leaning towards HRH. We are most certainly want the FOL pass. We are going to do the Harry Potter package as that is what is attracting the girls. I am hoping with 4 nights we will be able to take things at a reasonable pace. We will be headed to FLL to cruise on the Oasis so I do not want everyone to be exhausted before we start. That happened last year when we went to DW then on the Freedom out of PC. I diverge...

Is club level worth it?

Thanks for all the help

If you don't feel like walking all three onsite hotels have a free water taxi's :thumbsup2

We spent six days there last week and poolhopped. I had an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old with me. The younger one loved the HRH for the slide and underwater speakers, the older one loved the PBH for the little waterfall that ran into the hot tub, and I loved the RPR because it's the one most like a tropical paradise. Rest assured, wherever you go you will definitely be happy!

My DD 14 loves RPR, and as PP said all the activites going on around the pool. Stayed at PBH as well last July, but DD quickly got bored with the slide ,and not a lot happening around the pool area.
Never stayed at HRH, so cannot comment.

Well, I take my two teenage boys to the Hard Rock. Lots of pool activities- trivia, volleyball, hula hoops and Guitar Hero, dive-in movies and live entertainment. Plus, they have a great water slide which is a lot of fun. Poolside food and drinks delivered to your chair...Stay at the HR- you'll love it and so will they!

Another vote for the HRH. We have been staying there for years now and our kids love the place. They have a great time at the pool and all the activities they have. We get two rooms and have always had our connecting room request met it is so worth the extra room and bathroom - that way everyone has enough space. The walking distance to the parks from HRH is about 5 to Universal and a few minutes past that to IOA. You will really love the place.

With two teenage girls, two bathrooms are a most.

We had a suite at PBH last July, and would be great for you guys, the lounge had a Double sofa bed and it has its own bathroom, the kingroom was great as well and a large bathroom as well. Both rooms where big, and plenty of room.
