I just want to mention, we love Hojo's have stayed there many times over the past 18 years, will be there again at the end of this month...the beds have all been upgraded to the pillowtop matress except for the ones in the 2 story pavillion buildings. Those are buildings 3,4,5,6 apparently those beds are good too... I'll let u all know how they compare when we get back. Just don't want anyone to go based on that and wonder what's going on. Also, through the years as we've become grandparents... I've developed osteoarthritis in my spine, and a bad hip, hubby has developed degenerative disk disease...that extra walk along harbor blvd. Used to be a lot easier! We have used the shuttle, but that adds $6. Per day for 2 people to the cost of the room. For that reason we really appreciated Candy Cane Inn's private shuttle. I have a feeling soon, that is going to be the deciding factor in where we stay. Hojo's uses the ART system and shares shuttles, they are last to be picked up on way to park which is good, no long ride but you may have to stand. They are last to be dropped off on return which is a fairly long ride, probably 10 min. Too bad they don't have their own anymore. Still, especially with the entertainment rate you can't beat it! Paying over $100 a night when it's not available on the other hand, is the reason we tried Candy Cane Inn!
