We will be going for 6 days in July ~ last minute quick trip. We can't decide which hotel to stay at ~ All Stars or Pop, PRFQ/POR or Dolphin. We won't be at the hotel much ~ just sleeping. Would love input from others. Thanks! º0º

We really enjoy All-Star Sports. This will be my third time staying there and I find it to be exactly what we are looking for. We aren't really at the hotel that much so, like you, we just use it to sleep, shower, and get ready. Its the first bus stop of all the All-Stars so it is the first to pick you up and the first to drop you off. Hope you have a great time! :woohoo:

Pop or the Port Orleans resorts are fairly central, with the latter being nicer but more expensive (free QSDP?) or, if you want to bring/hire a car you could just stay off site in Kissemme for example - even cheaper for an equivalent hotel.

Value - POP. Good food court; don't have to spend time at the parks getting breakfast or lunch.

Moderate - POFQ. Takes a lot less time getting around than POR. Since you only have two days, it would be better to be somewhere you will spend less time on the bus and less time strolling around.

Both have preferred room categories for booking, so you could stay close to the main building and transportation.

We get in late on our first night ~ only 4 days for parks. We usually go for 10-12 days.

Dolphin all the way! It's cheap, but has a wonderful location with its walking distance to EPCCOT and makes a nice walk on the Boardwalk. The Dolphin also has a food court called "Picabu" that is just downstairs. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for .
To me, its a no brainer to go with the Dolphin. It has the same location as a Deluxe resort but without the price tag.

Teehee 6 days is our long trip! Usually 3 or 4. However I love Pop for the food court. I like Moderates for hot tub! I went for a "quick" trip in Mar and stayed at POFQ because small to get around easy. Pool, food court, hot tub, busses and boat launch all CLOSE! Now with queens is even better than before. Easy to walk to POR too if you like that pool area better too.

On our quick trips I try to leave a park and take bus to POR. I get off walk around, take boat to Downtown, shop then catch bus back to my hotel. Makes you feel like you see and experience more that way. Or take bus to WL and take boat to Cont. Then take monorail ride and explore. When done take monorail to MK and catch your bus to your hotel there!

I can squeeze a lot of DISNEY into my 3/4 day trips!

Have a Dole whip for me!

ENJOY your quickie!

We got a great AAA rate at the Dolphin for $132/night in July. Even when we add in all of their fees, we still feel like it's a great rate! We love walking around the Boardwalk.

POFQ. It's scenic and cute, but small enough that you can explore it in a short amount of time. I wasn't a huge fan of the food court or pool area, and wouldn't like to stay there for an extended time. However, I love the little "street" feel and the rooms were decent when we stayed there. It'd be perfect for a weekend getaway.

Dolphin or one of the POR resorts. You can't go wrong with either. Dolphin has the great Boardwalk location and with POR you can pool hop to the sister resort and have the boat to DTD.
