Which HOTEL for night before cruise?

What is the best and most reasonable hotel to stay the night before our cruise (2/06)? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Radisson is a big one on these boards.. Lots of cruise folk stay there...

We have stayed at Best Western, and Comfort Inn & Suites.. All of these hotels have shuttles to the port, as well as specials, with free parking when you take the crusie package....

I stayed at the Radisson too, and it was very nice. It was pretty close and the next day when we left the bus ride was not so bad.

Since Disney is now offering free transportation between MCO and the WDW resort we are going to stay a few days before at a Disney Resort (using the free transportation from MCO to one of the Disney Resorts) and then rent a car from WDW and drop off in Port Canaveral. We will do the same upon the return to port, stay a day at WDW before returning home.

I just spoke to the reservations desk at the Radisson - they were not going to let me have the cruise special because I didn't have a car I could park there for 7 nights. The price without parking was $20 more. Since we are flying in from Canada it would be silly to rent a car for a week just to park it. Anyway, she finally relented and let us book it at the lower rate even though we won't have a car.

Has anyone found any special rates for Dec 2005? I am just realizing that I'd better get a move on because the hotels are starting to fill up.

I booked the Radisson months ago at a special rate of $109/night. I believe some have even gotten it at $99/night. Keep checking their web site for the best rates.

I got the same room (2 King suite) 2 years ago for $99/night and last year for $119/night. Both were during March Break. This will be our first time this close to Christmas (Dec. 17)
