Hi!

Please help us make a decision!

Should we stay at Grand Floridian, Beach Club, or Wilderness Lodge??

We are open to all suggestions. We are recent DVC members, and will be utilizing our points. Thanks in advance! :cool1:

depending on what you like:
If you're Epcot/Studios fans then for sure Beach Club you're right there
If you love the Magic Kingdom and think you'll visit it most the Wilderness Lodge

I wouldn't day the Grand because it's not DVC and the point converison value isn't worth it.

If your honeymoon is late Sept-mid-Nov I'd suggest going with your home resort. Because of Food and Wine those rooms book at the 11 month mark.

:)Thank you for the reply.

We are getting married mid november, but taking our honeymoon the first week of december.

I always wanted to check out the Wilderness Lodge. I think the pool area looks awesome!

Personaally I would go whichever theme you prefer? Having said that I think the Wilderness Lodge would be lovely at Christmas time with all the decorations up :goodvibes

WL is beautiful at Christmas time. You really need to book at 11 months because it is so popular with DVC'rs. My waitlist never came in last year.

Using points to stay at any of the non-DVC resorts (like the Grand Floridian) is a really bad value. The point requirements are way higher, and you have to pay a $95 fee just to make or change the reservation.

As others have said, definitely book at your soonest opportunity. If BCV or VWL are not your home resorts, you will need to wait until 7 months out, and availability could be limited.

That said, I recommend staying at both! :thumbsup2 We stayed at four different resorts on our 2-week honeymoon (including the Beach Club Villas, which turned out to be our favorite) and it was great to have the different experiences at each place.

Beach Club also has Stormalong Bay, THE best pool on property - it's like a mini-water park. Wilderness Lodge has the advantage of direct boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom.

But if you can stay a few days at both places, you'll get to see it all.

Oh wow - I just saw that you will be honeymooning the first week of December. The first few weeks of December are the most popular times of year for DVC members to vacation, so you will have stiff competition for those rooms. I hope you are able to make your reservation soon! :goodvibes

So true Carrie! We had a hard time making our reservations for our 1st anniversary at our home resort, the BW. We got 'em, but you defintely want to make them ASAP b/c you'll probably get waitlisted at this point.

I would probably do Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge. I think that the Lodge will be beautiful in December and I just love the whole boardwalk area so if you choose either of these you can't go wrong! :thumbsup2
