Need some advice on which hotel for our family. I've been thinking about HRH or PBH. I like the idea of HRH being so close to the parks that we could walk back when necessary. BUT, heard the pool at PBH is nicer ?? (kids 15, 10, & 7)

Would love to hear some opinions ......... Thanks !!

We haven't stayed there yet, but we are also a family of 5, although our kids are older (20, 17, 14). We chose HRH because they have the deluxe rooms which are larger and have the fold-out sofa, so our gang will be more comfortable there. I also think the kids will LOVE the theming there. Good luck whatever you decide ~

We have a family of 4 but with two teens (boy and girl). It is nice to have 3 beds so we choose the HRH deluxe room when we are all going along. It is a little bigger than a normal room. The pullout couch is pretty comfy too.

We just returned from a deluxe room at PBH. We also have 3 kids, and loved this room! It is the largest room, at 500 sqft, and the bathroom is heaven. I think it was the same size as my youngest child's bedroom! The deluxe PBH rooms have pull-out sofa beds now, and the rooms are recently rennovated, so our room was in perfect condition. We never had a long wait for a boat, and the pool slide was great. This resort is so relaxing and beautiful, my kids actually preferred it to the Nick Hotel (which they loved as well, but from a parent's perspective, there is no comparison!)

Where does the boat drop you off in relations to the parks? I am very tempted to try PBH ... I think my DH would enjoy it MUCH more.

We're also trying the Nick Hotel for one night as a stopover on the way back from the Keys. My middle DS is a Nick Freak so this is a requirement. (at least for one night)

Thanks for the advice !!

All of the on-site hotels drop off in the same location, right at Citywalk and inbetween Universal Studios and IOA. The walk from the boat to US is very short, the walk to IOA is a little longer, but not bad at all. We're all going through Portofino withdrawal...

don't make your selection of hotels based on the pools.

at universal you can pool hop to all three hotel pools.
