Which "high end" restaurant would you eat?

on property, but definitely strives to be not like the other resort restaurants.

Excellent choices so far.

I have already settled for the following venues in an upcoming trip for dinner:

  1. Wolfgang Puck - The Dining Room
  2. Flying Fish
  3. California Grill
  4. Citricos
  5. Raglan Road

I need recommendations for one more restaurant which MUST BE outside the parks. If you could eat anywhere, where would you eat?

All recommendations considered!!!:flower3:

Since I've already eaten at Flying Fish, I thought I would try Narcoosee's which is new to me. There seems to be a lot of similarity as to these seafood restaurants. So new question, should I go with Narcoosee's? Flying Fish? or Bluezoo?

This is my updated list: :goodvibes

  1. Wolfgang Puck - The Dining Room
  2. Narcoosee's
  3. California Grill
  4. Citricos
  5. Jiko
  6. Raglan Road

I LOVE :lovestruc Raglan Road and have tried it many times (It was my #1 meal last trip). However, the main reason I have it on the list is because I need to have a meal about 3pm on one day - so I need a lunch place. All the other "high end" places serve dinner only from 5 - 5:30pm onward. The other option is to do the Garden View Tea in the afternoon for the 3pm meal... Thoughts? :surfweb:

ACK! Flying Fish is my favorite. Of the signature restaurants we've tried, I'd rank them:

(1) Flying Fish
(2) California Grill
(3) Artist Point
(4) Yachtsman
(5) Jiko

I definitely want to work Narcoossee's into our next trip. I have read good reviews for Citricos, but the menu doesn't really appeal to me and the dining room looks kind of blah.

If Raglan Road was your fave, I would definitely go back there. On the other hand, the GF tea is something I've always wanted to do!

P.S. The sunset from the BC/YC is stunning - just in case you're thinking about Yachtsman ....

Given the choice between Flying Fish or Narcoosee's, I'd pick Flying Fish in a heartbeat.

But I'm in the group that would suggest Flying Fish, Jiko, Todd English's bluezoo™ or Il Mulino.

I haven't been to Narcoosees in years, but I was not impressed when I was there. Wasn't judging on fireworks view as I don't really care, but just on the food, which was nice but rather dull. Of course, it's been several years, but that's why Narcoosees didn't make my list.

I'd go to any of them except maybe Flying Fish.

Planning on both California Grill and Raglan Road next trip. But I don't know if I'd consider Raglan Road "high end".

Also, if you have children, go to Raglan Road before 8PM, because that's about when the band starts. Unless your kids like Irish music... :confused3

I really enjoyed Flying Fish and plan on it every trip. Of course we always stay at the Boardwalk so it is easy for us but the food is wonderful. I did like Raglan Road too. My vote would be for Flying Fish though :thumbsup2

Well... thanks all for input. :thumbsup2 I made some changes and these are my ressies:

Dinner:
Wolfgang Puck Upstairs
California Grill
Victoria&Alberts
Raglan Road
Citricos

And on my departure day:
Garden View TeaRoom (for afternoon tea)

Hopefully timing will work out and I will make all my ressies. I'll let you know how it all worked out.:wizard:

Looks like I'm late, but I'll throw in another for BlueZoo. The food is excellent!! And totally unique from the Disney owned restaurants (which sometimes seem to overlap with foods.)

Artist Point. it was just fantastic. The only restaurant we dined in where everybody enjoyed their meal - even the kids!

I had to read back to see how Raglan Road made this otherwise killer list. ;) Your other choices sound like a week of fabulous food.

You got me on that one! :rolleyes1 As you saw, I've decided on Garden View Tea for the afternoon meal. However, I find it very, very hard to pass up on Raglan Road. Two reasons.

First, it has, for many visits, been my favorite meal of the trip. Yes, it has beat out places like California Grill and Citricos on prior trips. While I think most diners love it, there are a few who don't..... I read their reports, and I wonder if we were in the same restaurant.... I do know that the food is fabulous for my taste buds.

Second, with my toddler on prior trips, it has been hard to have a late dinner to see the Celtic dancer.... since this trip is on my own, I'll be able to have a late dinner and see the dancing that begins around 8pm.

Just because a place is 1 TS credit, does not mean you will love it less than a 2 TS credit place. Most 1 TS places in EPCOT are better than Cinderella's Castle for 2 TS for instance. Some people like Boma better than Jiko, etc, etc.

So while my week is definately fine dining, Raglan Road fits that bill for me! :yay:

When I return I'll post my favorite meal list.
