Which Hertz Location to Use?

I need to rent a car (I only use Hertz) from WDW one-way to the port for our DCL cruise. I will need the car on 1/1 (since I'm paying for 24 hours), and drop it off in Cape Canaveral on 1/2. I will be staying at the Pop- so can someone recommend which Hertz location I should use? Should I take a cab to the location on property at Shades of Green resort, or should I use one of the locations off property that offer pick up service? What is the pickup service like anyway? I've never done that before. Any advice is appreciated, TIA!

we used the pick up service offered by Hertz at SOG. It was painless. We set a time to be picked up. The employee came over, picked me up. We returned to SOG. Filled out all the paperwork. I took the car and then did the process in reverse when we were done with it. It worked fine. Good luck.

I have used the free shuttle to the one listed by PP at 7141 it is close by.

We always rent Hertz from the airport. I'm wondering if these places are any cheaper than at MCO?

Keep in mind since you need that rental car on January 1st that the non-AP Hertz location could be closed as it is New Years' Day. Just an FYI.

It very well could be cheaper. Most airport locations hate additional fees and taxes imposed by the city. Some resorts have fees as well. However in my home town it is typically about 40% cheaper. CAll hertz and the rep can quote a couple locations for you.
