which headphones for a 5-year-old?

I need to get my 5-year-old a pair of headphones to use on our drive down, particularly for his Leapster. Any suggestions on which headphones (brand/type) fit little kids the best?

I think the ear buds are the best. W have been unsuccessful in finding head band types that actually fit our 8 & 5 yo's.

See, I would say just the opposite. Our 7 year old has a hard time keeping the ear buds inside his ears (he's just too little).

Santa actually has a neat pair that are going into DS's stocking. They are outside the ear type, that clip over the top of your ear. This is a pic of a similar style:

I agree, my DS(5) also had a hard time with the earbuds (also too little). When you do buy headphones, make sure they are adjustable on both sides. One-sided adjustables have a tendancy to not sit flush to one of the ears.

For our 2 yr old we use a pair that came with a Sony walkman. The are the headband type, but not the foam ones. Instead, they sort of fit in the ear, but not like buds. I put tape on the parts that adjust so that when he takes them on and off they dont change size. They work great for him!
