Hello All,

I would appreciate some help on deciding on which Grand Villa would be best for my upcoming party. I'm planning a get together for 15 people, only 10 are staying the night and I'm trying to decide which Grand Villa would be better to accomodate that many people for a party.

Any experience with a grand gathering in either OKW or BWV? OKW costs about 1/2 the points, so I'm a little swayed towards that one, however, I love the single floor design of BWV's set-up. Also, if I go with BWV's, I understand they have a 2 story design like OKW, can I request the single floor villa on my reservation?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

I would say OKW because of pts and size. Not sure if BWV GV 1 level can be garranteed

i would agree - however I don't like the buildings that have the GV at OKW as much as other building.

the GV at BWV and SSR were better placed.

so if you want a good view (great at BWV) then go with BWV or SSR.

if you still want OKW - I would go with 2-bedroom & 1-bedroom and try for one of the wonderful views that OKW has. You can ask to be in the same building.

With only 7 GV at BWV, you'll need the 11 month advantage there. Do you own BWV points?

And at OKW, while there are more GV there, depending on when you plan to go, you may also need the 11 month advantage there.

The BWV GV would be my choice but like Deb & Bill mentioned there are only 7 of them and they can be very hard to get at 7 months or less. SSR has 36 and OKW has 27 so if you are planning at 7 months or less you might have to go with OKW or SSR.

I have never heard of anyone being able to specifically reserve the 1 level GV at BWV. I disagree with Spiceycat about the GV locations at OKW too. We have had some great views from GV's at OKW. Buildings 22 and 16 specifically. I'm told 48 has a great view as well, and I liked our secluded view at the building 15 GV too. I do think the one level BWV GV would be the easiest for a large party, but the OKW GV would be the most comfortable for those staying overnight. I feel like the SSR GVs are too compact and the chopped up for a large group to be in any one room.

The GV at both OKW and BWV are both approx the same size, so size or sleeping arrangements is basically a wash. Your choice is which location you want and how many pts you want to spend. At BWV the points needed are much more than OKW, but the location is awesome. The GVs have wonderful boardwalk views and are very impressive. Both resorts are very nice.
Good luck and have a great trip!

Thanks all for your replies. I'm going to look into one at OKW since I don't own at BWV and I do have a friend who owns at OKW and she'll reserve it for me at the 11 month window. I thought that the BWV would be nice because of the location but we are really going to be doing the partying inside.

I'm really looking forward to this trip. It'll be nice to have the family all together at WDW.
