I'm so inspired by the other thread on couponing that even though I've been couponing "light" I really want to put more time into it to hopefully save lots! Our grocery budget seems to be slowly ballooning and I want to get it under control sooner rather than later. So even though I do clip from the paper the one thing I don't do is print coupons off my computer. I tried it once a couple of years ago and when I went to the store (don't remember which one) they told me they didn't take them so I haven't tried again. So I'm wondering what my fellow DISers experience is. I routinely shop Meijer but also have Kroger and Walmart in our area. Any help would be appreciated!

Winn Dixie is the only place around here that takes them. I've been refused at Publix, Walmart, Target and Albertsons (before they closed). It's not worth the hassle to me so I stick with coupons from the paper.

Acme, Rite Aid and Walmart in NJ do. Not sure if they have Acme up there, they are an Albertson's chain.

Only exception is if the coupon makes it free. Then you can't use it.

Publix Winn-Dixie Wal-Mart and BJs Wolesale Club have always taken my computer printed coupons without a problem or second glance...I couldn't survive without using them

Kroger takes mine, no problem. (even if it makes the item free, I have gotten tons of stuff free with printable coupons at Krogers)

Walmart has a coupon policy on their website, they are suppose to use internet printables. Print out the policy, have it in your coupon binder to hand over when a cashier says "no". Many times cashiers are not properly trained on coupon usage.

Target also takes printed ones.. they have their own store coupons plus manufacture coupons with Target logo on their website.

Many of the Albertson's are now owned by Super Valu, coupon policy may have changed at those locations. They own Cub Foods in my area which takes coupons up to 3 months expired. Some even allow expired Walgreen's register rewards as they are considered manu coupons. :yay:

If you don't know your store's policy, walk up to the customer service desk and ask if they have a written policy or if they can inform you of the policy.
If you have a problem at check out, point out that person X at the cs desk said the policy was.... and politely ask to see the manager if it continues to be a problem. If still a problem, call corporate, ask for the policy, tell them what happened. Chances are you will get an apology and possibly compensation (gift card).

You shouldn't feel like a criminal when saving money with legitimate coupons.

Kroger and Target takes their own. You can also go to Kroger's website and load coupons to your Kroger Plus Card. You can attach it to your phone number too, so you will get them even without the card present. Printable ones can be used in combine with the ones on your plus card or any other type.

Here in So Cal. I've used them at Target, WM, Albertsons, and Von's (Safeway) I haven't had any issues here.:goodvibes

I have had Kroger(Frys here), Publix(back in Florida), Target, Walmart, and Albertsons take my printed coupons.

I don't really shop any different places than those. Except Bashas which is not a very large chain other than here(believe just an AZ store). The are picky they may take printed ones or may not depends on cashier. And the don't like the register rewards ones that are Manufacturer coupons and say so right on them just because another grocery store printed them on my receipt. WEIRD since they should have no issues getting it paid.
