One thing... Did you remove them from the backing before scanning them or did you just edit out the background using Paint in Windows?

ljql_5969...No, I simply scanned them in the larger size. You're going to cut them out anyway so to cut them out before hand would not be necessary.

Frankly, it's not that hard to "draw" them using the circle tool and any MS Office product (I chose Powerpoint).

Not only does this save you a trip to home depot but you can make them any color and size that you want and you can add a name.

Wow, scanning @ 300%, had not thought of that! Oooh, used software to "draw" the Mickey Heads, pretty high tech indeed!

But please don't enocurage people not to go to HD and swipe the paint chips. There is something clever and resourceful about the practice, IMHO. Shows a level of devotion. Computer generated shows a level of computer expertise--in which case, congrats, now go work for PIXAR or the Imagineering gang, but DIS is about devotion, so there needs to be a place for low tech arts & crafts as a part of DIS devotion. And speaking to the dovted out there....

That's really cool! It's a great idea because not everyone lives by an HD. I, myself, live an hour from the nearest one. I just picked the Mickey paint chips up on my last doctor's visit. I wonder how long it'll be before Behr changes from Mickey heads to plain chip samples? Nothing good lasts forever.
