Which Good Neighbor Hotel do you recommend and why?

Hyatt Regency has their own shuttle that they share with Crown Plaza, so if you stay there you should be able to take the shuttle for free. Since you're interested in these higher end hotels, you may be interested in this thread. There is a lot of info in it about shuttles, parking, resort fees, suites, etc.

Thanks, aristocat65! I'm used to walking a lot, but after a long day in the parks, I know I'll be beat. I was leaning towards the Hyatt Regency since they have a free shuttle.

DizMe, I love that idea!!! Really, the only thing at the Disneyland Resort that is making it so hard for me to pass up is their Neverland pool area. I think my nephews would absolutely LOVE that. It looks like I'll be the proud owner of an AP.

The Hyatt is really nice. We've stayed there many times. It is our hotel of choice. But we've NEVER walked to the parks from the hotel as it is too far. We're also used to walking and are a fit family, but to attempt the walk after a long day at DL would be pushing it.

However, while you're looking at the Hyatt, have you considered staying at the Sheraton Garden Grove? It's a newer hotel and is across the street from the Hyatt, facing the Target. I just posted a thread on this today as Travelzoo is offering a special on the Sheraton for $82/night plus breakfast. However, if you're looking for a hotel with a shuttle, I'm not sure if the Sheraton offers one or if you have to use the ART.

How's the Tropicana Inn (in general)? The location is great, but are the rooms kept up, etc...?
