What is your favorite floor to request and why?

Just wondering...how quiet are the ground floor rooms? I am leaning towards requesting a ground floor room (corner) but, I think I might not like having alot of people walking by our room. Are the rooms set back abit from the walkways?

I like coming back from a long day at the parks and being able to just walk up to the room without having to climb a flight of stairs or wait for an elevator...(I know, really lazy, huh? LOL! ;) )

I'm not really as concerned about what building to request because it sounds like everything is very compact at POFQ.

Anyone have any opinions?

Thanks in advance!

We are staying there too, and would be curious to anyone's opinion that has stayed there. Can you hear people above you? Or is it pretty quiet hotel?

We stayed at POFQ last week and had a ground floor room. It was very quiet. We never heard a noise from above or the next door rooms. The rooms are right on the walkway but we never noticed any noise from people walking by. It felt very private for being a first floor room. In addition to the big heavy hotel curtains the windows also have wooden blinds so no one could peep at you even if they tried.

We were in bldg 7 (room 7138) which is the furthest away on the courtyard side. I really liked it because it was a very short walk to the parking lot and the resort is small so it was also a short walk to the pool and food court area. We walked over to the pool at Riverside one day and it took less than 10 minutes (and that was walking with a two year old)

Hi, we stayed in the Quarter last December in building 4 on the second floor and we loved it. I think our room # was 4240??. We were facing the courtyard and buildings 2 and 5. We loved the fact that everything was so centrally located. We hope to get a similar location when we are there again this Dec/Jan. Have a great trip, I know we can't wait and our kids still don't know they are going.

We had a ground floor, corner room in Building 5 facing the pool in October and had no problems at all with noise. It was so nice not to have to climb stairs after walking all day in the parks.

We loved POFQ! I asked for a nice quiet room at check-in and they put us in building 6 on the 3rd floor. Well, we didn't have another soul even remotely near us. It was very nice and the stairs didn't really bother us that much. We didn't have any tired kids in tow, however. The elevator was right around the corner if we felt like it. If you want a real quiet room, the 3rd floor is best in any building. No one above you also. Although I am now a Poly convert, I would not hesitate to stay at POFQ again. Enjoy! :goodvibes

I was on a ground room floor at pofq for my honeymoon. it was a corner room by the pool. It was very convenient but there was a lot of traffic back and forth. That kind of stuff doesn't really bother me though. I mean we would hear some running, and if you were just getting out of the shower or changing those curtains definately had to be closed.

Last year we had a 3rd floor corner room at pofq. I liked it much better. It was more private. I thought the view was much nicer too because you could see the resort and the blooming trees were right at eye level.

We had a ground floor room last week (building 4) when the resort was completely booked and never heard noise, except when the next door neighbors flushed their toilet. (Those toilets are so loud, you could probably hear them through solid concrete!)

Not only was it quiet, the beds were very comfortable. I was hesitant at first about a ground floor room for safety reasons, but I was glad to be able to just walk out and not have to go up or down stairs! :Pinkbounc

We were on the second floor and I could hear the flush of the toilets from both the above and adjacent room. Not only that, but I could hear the people upstairs peeing!!! :earseek:

But really, I loved this resort - just might ask for 3rd floor next time. :goodvibes

Have fun on your trip :flower:

I've stayed at the groud level in building 3 (facing away from the pool) and the second floor in building 5 facing the pool.
We really heard no noise at the ground level, and we were there during the summer so the resort was pretty crowded, and we did not hear anything from the rooms above us.
The only thing that I did not like about or room in building 5 was that we were close the the stairs, now you would think this was a good thing but it was not. Instead of people using the elevators when they were checking in and out we heard their luggage go clunk, clunk, clunk on each step...It was not enough to ruin the vacation or anything but sometimes it was pretty early in the morning or late at night and could be annoying.

We stayed at POFQ last April & will be returning there in 2006. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor & we loved them! It was very quiet & clean. One night when my Dsis was exhausted she opted for the elevator & there was no wait.
I hope you have a great time there! :wizard:
