We are looking at Biergarten, Nine Dragons, San Angel Inn and Garden Grill. Should we scrap these and go to a near by resort. What resort is near by?

TIA

Kristy

We tend to enjoy resort restaurants more than park restaurants in general, so again Ill vote for exploring some resorts.

In the Epcot area, you can easily walk or take the boat to a number of resorts. These include the Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Clubs, and the Swan & Dolphin. All of these resorts have great restaurants ranging from bar food, to upscale. Are you interested in anything in particular?

Well, I have eaten at Biergarten and Marrakesh and loved them both. My husband is EXTREMELY picky and even enjoyed the food at both as well. Beirgarten is a buffet style with a wonderful atmosphere inside, but loud due to their show. Marrakesh is much quieter, off the beaten path. Less kids, less noise, less people, etc. I have heard good things about the other places you mentioned as well, but haven't personally eaten there. Garden Grill may be closed for awhile due to rehab, I'm not sure. Look on allearsnet.com for menus of all WDW restaurants.

I have eaten at all of your choices except The Garden Grill. My family enjoyed Biergarten the most. The entertainment is great and the buffet is very good. Nine Dragons and San Angel Inn are also very good, but the chinese food can be found in any fast food chinese restaurant in the US.

I agree with Mike. The 9 Dragons Chinese is average and nothing special. Out of all of your selections, I'd pick San Angel. Best bet is to walk to the Boardwalk and hit any of the restaurants there. I'll also be a nice break from the park. To walk to the Swan or Dolphin would be quite a hike IMO, but if your feeling adventurous, why not.

Marrakesh is very good. I feel jammed in at San Angel.

Very good restaurants in the resorts next door.
Fine Dining - Yachtsmans St, Flying Fish, Shulas
Buffet - Cape May
Fun - Beaches & Cream, ESPN Club

The lounge at BWI is a fun one and the appetizers at Crews Cup are wonderful.

It's really a matter of personal preference as far as "good" restaurants go, so you'll get lots of different answers. Here are ours:

We really looked forward to dinner at Biergarten, but were disappointed (all 7 of us) at its mediocrity. Never been to Nine Dragons, but most reviews I've read said it had average food for 2 - 3 times what you pay at home, depending on where you live. We happen to love San Angel Inn for its atmosphere and food, but lots of people dislike it. We've never been to Garden Grill but would like to try it someday.

I agree that Marrakesh is exotic and fabulous! Teppanyaki is also very good, but we have hibachi places around here, so we skip it now when we're in WDW. We just tried Le Cellier in November and loved it!

With so many good restaurants, it's hard to decide where to eat sometimes at WDW - we figure trying them all at least once will help us, so I guess we just have to keep going back!

Biergarten last visit. Food was good, atmosphere was fun and entertainment great. A good choice for families!

Biergarten is good. I would definitely eat there again. 9 Dragons is a good choice as well.

I love authentic mexican food and was disappointed with San Angel, I thought the food was average.

Alfredo's is good, but as with most restaurants in the park, its way over-crowded.

As someone else mentioned, I typically hit the resorts or go outside WDW for nice restaurants.

My vote is for Biegarten. I have had dinner there 2x with my family and I thought the food was very good. I am used to german home cooked food from my mother, and I thought the food was pretty close to hers. The meats were so tender, and the big steins of Beer are a plus.

40 days and counting til 1st trip to Fort Wilderness cabins. :flower1:

Of the ones you've mentioned we've enjoyed Beirgarten and San Angel Inn. I admit though that SAI wasn't as good the last time I ate there but I'd be willing to go back. We also love Teppanyaki, Chefs de France and really love Le Cellier.

We went to the Nine Dragons on Christmas Day and loved it. My husband thought it was the best steak he had at Disney. :flower1:
