On my next trip, I would like to stay at an Epcot Resort. It will be during the Christmas season (I think probably the week before Christmas), and I'm wondering which resort decorates best for Christmas. :) Thanks! ;)

Last year, I thought (and so did 3 yr old dd) the Dolphin had a breathtaking setup with the huge tree in the lobby that was surrounded by a moving train. Really neat. DD didn't want to leave!

The BC had a beautiful merry go round display that was made of baked goods.

The Swan also had a gingerbread house.

If I had to choose I'd go for the Dolphin, he he, well, hey... how about that, I already did :p We'll be there in December:p

My family and i toured all of the deluxe resorts last christmas to rate the decorations:D

GF won overall
Poly was the big loser
The Dolphin won for Epcot area

I also thought the yacht club was very nice.
The Boardwalk was beautiful in all 3 parts of the lobby, but of course the effect was spread out.

I like the BoardWalk for Christmas. One of these days I'll get around to posting my lobby photos of it. It was really lovely.

Cali-

This past year we saw all the Epcot resorts, SoG, GF, CR, Poly, AKL, and ASMo in their Christmas decorations. Of all of them the BW was the standout winner. The lobby was just gorgeous!

I'd say after that the AKL was the most awe inspiring. The GF had nice decorations, but they were expected and didn't take my breath away like the ones at AKL and BW did.

I also think BW had the nicest Christmas decorations last year from among the Epcot resorts. I loved the tree decorations and the garland.

I thought the decorations at all were nice around the Epcot resorts.

Boardwalk and Yacht Club stood out for understated elegance.

Dolphin definitely stood out for the huge tree described above. The tree was actually made of a gjillion poinsettias. The nicest thing though was that each evening there was a live piano player playing Christmas carols beside the tree. It was not uncommon to find people sitting in the lobby singing along.

There was also an area downstairs on the way to the Friendship launches where Santa would drop by from time to time.

This was first week of December last year.

I vote for the Boardwalk. It is very "Christmasy" in it's decorations. And, I still swear that REALLY WAS SANTA in their lobby Christmas Eve. ;)

We liked the Beach Club the Best!! The Merry go Round in the lobby is so breathtaking. We didn't find those whimsical touches in Yacht club or Boardwalk... in fact, we found Boardwalk to be pretty nondescript.
