Which DVC rooms accommodate 5 people?

We have three children and our youngest is now 3 years old. We typically like one bedroom villas for the space and full kitchen but now that he's 3, we will need to bump up to a 2 bedroom where we own (Boardwalk...resale we purchased before kids). We have two Boardwalk contracts and have been thinking about selling one to purchase something on the monorail (I believe all of those accommodate 5 in a 1BR anyway), but now I'm thinking maybe we should sell both contracts we can no longer stay in a 1BR at BWV. Any thoughts on this and how sales for BWV go (I'm not asking to sell here, I'm trying to get a sense of whether people are purchasing it since it's older and contract ends sooner)?

What rooms (studio or 1BR) accommodate 5 people?
BLT, GVF, AKL studio and 1BR
Vero 1BR
New Poly studio
Are those correct and am I missing any?

Thank you!

I think that VGF is the only studio that currently sleeps 5.

Other studios only sleep 5 if one of the guests is under 3.

for 1BRs:

AKV and BLT 1BRs have a sleeper chair and extra bathroom.
OKW 1BRs are large and have a sleeper chair.

other 1BRs *allow* 5 on the reservation but it's up to you to bring a sleeping bag/air mattress with sheets or whatever for the 5th person to actually sleep on.

There is going to be a soft goods rehab at the BWV this year. After it is complete, all the studios will sleep 5 because they are adding a pull down bed.

Also, if you don't mind bringing along an aero bed or something similar, you can still stay in the 1 bedrooms at BWV. MS will allow 5 in the 1 bedroom villas - you are just on your own to provide the bed and linens for the 5th person.

Thank you! Is DVC planning to add sleeper chairs or pull down beds to all of the studios? Do you know if they're adding to BWV one bedroom (as they are for VWL mentioned above)? Just curious as we are planning which home resort might work best for us.

no sleeper chairs in any studios. only in 1BRs in AKV and BLT and OKW. there is not room in most of the 1BRs (like BWV or VWL) for a sleeper chair.

pulldown beds are only in VGF and VWL studios so far. they might be added to others.

again, neither BWV or VWL 1BRs have or are likely to have sleeper chairs or pulldown beds. you will likely have to bring your own.

as i said above, BLT and AVK 1BRs are great because they have a pullout chair and an extra bathroom. OKW 1BRs have the pullout chair and about 1000 sq ft. but those are your best options if you don't want to go the air mattress route...

It's already been announced that both BCV and BWV studios will be getting the pull down beds in 2015. The rehabs are scheduled to begin in March.

BWV is still pretty popular due to the proximity to epcot and the studios (especially for food and wine at epcot). the resorts with longer expirations still can't say that. no need to rush to sell.

sounds like you'll still fit the studios at BWV for a while (the pulldown beds are kinda small), or the 1BRs if one of the kids doesn't mind an air mattress.

might want to try to trade for a BLT 1BR or AKV kidani 1BR at 7 months out to see if those configurations are a better fit.

The Poly (PVB) studio will be sleeping five guests, one in murphy bed, reservations begin April 1, 2015.

VWL, VGF, and PBV Studios have pull-down bunk-size beds. BCV and BWV Studios are being added this year.

OKW, AKV (except value), and BLT 1bdrm have sleeper chair. VGF 1bdrm have pull-down bunk-size beds.
