Which DVC Resorts have 2br Lock offs

My wife wants us to have a 2br l/o (studio and 1 br with a door between) and was wondering which resorts have this option? I'm really interested if BWV standard view has this.

Do you have to request this from MS?

We had a BWV standard view 2 bedroom lock-off in December. BWV is the only place that we have done this, but I think that all of the resorts have them. We have been in studios in all of the resorts that were connected by a door to the other portion of the 2 bedroom unit.

All DVC resorts have 2BR lock-off villas. BWV has only lock-offs with no dedicated 2BR villas. HH has only 21 lock-offs and usually will not allow them to be reserved as a 2BR villa unless needed for HCA.

OKW, VB, VWL, BCV and SSR all have lock-off 2BR's as well as dedicated 2BRs and they do allow members to reserve these as lock-off villas.

At all resorts, there does seem to be limit on how many of the lock-offs may be reserved as a 2BR rather than as a Studio and 1BR villa- as there have been many reports where there may be availability for a 2BR villa but no availability for a studio or 1BR.

Interesting info! Why do think they do this? Are studios so popular and the 1 bedrooms the least, so that they don't want all the 2 bedrooms reserved as studios, leaving the 1 bedrooms behind?

I think it's just the oppposite. Studios and 1BR villas are in greater demand than 2BR villas- so DVC has established a specific number of lock-offs that are used as 2BRs and the remainder may be reserved as Studios and 1BR's.

At BWV, there are no dedicated 2BR villas- all are lock-off units - so DVC has decided a certain number to be reserved as a 2BR and the remainder as lock-off villas. I'm sure there is a point where any unreserved villas are released to be reserved however the need indicates (probably the "breakage period" - 60 days prior to arrival.)

At HH, there are 76 dedicated 2BR villas and only 21 lock-offs. The lock-off are always in higher demand as studio and 1BR villas- so they will rarely allow a 2BR lock-off reservation to be made. Some DVC resorts (BWV included) do have a small number of dedicated studio and 1BR villas.

I don't think it has anything to do with studios vs 1BR villas- although I'd expect that studios do reserve faster just because they require fewer points.

I didn't realize this, thanks for sharing. I do like the option of a lockoff with a queen bed and pull out couch or a dedicated 2 bedroom with two queen beds. I didn't realize that option wasn't available at BWV, especially given it's size.
