Which DVC Resorts are "sold out"?

AFAIK, the only ones that don't have waitlists are PVB and Aulani.

In addition, a few resorts won't even take new people on the waitlists. I believe they are BCV, VGF and VGC.

only PVB and aulani are in "active sales" and that is where guides will steer you.

none of the DVC resorts are *forever* "sold out" - DVC is constantly reacquiring contracts from all resorts through ROFR and foreclosures. availability can also vary by use year month.

but for a few resorts, demand and supply are so out of whack that they have had to shut down the waitlists when they got too long - but that is still pretty rare.

but realistically, you are better off looking at resales anyway.

Thanks for the info.

We own at BLT and were thinking about adding more points. That got us thinking about buying somewhere else. We have stayed at BCV and loved the entire Boardwalk area. Also stayed at SSR and enjoyed it. I was thinking SSR isn't usually difficult to get at 7 months, but BCV could be hard at times.

Of course being at WDW is better than being at work :)

Look at resales, you can find any resort there for cheaper than direct. Resale points can only be used at DVC's and RCI exchanges. Both our contracts are resales and we're very happy with them. We added on a small BWV contract last fall to use during Food and Wine or Thanksgiving.

It is correct that the only 2 DVC resorts that are currently being sold are the Poly and Aulani. I'm pretty sure that DisDadDVC is right that wait lists aren't being allowed for VGC, VGF, or BCV. I think BLT may be in that mix as well….
