My sister-n-law just informed us that she is trading her time share pts. for DisneyWorld and that we are invited !
I have no idea about any of the DVC resorts, and which one she should
try to get for all of us.
It will be her, with 2 teenage girls.
And, me with my 6 yr. old twins.
We just went in May and stayed at POFQ and loved it !
Please give me some info. on the DVC resorts, so we can know which
ones to try to get.
We are not sure when we are going yet, this is all in the beginning stages
of planning !!!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Best of luck to your sister in trading into a DVC resort at WDW. It seems to be the common wisdom around these parts that such trades, while not unheard of, certainly don't come easily.

As for the best DVC resort -- 'tis opening a can of worms to ask such a question around here. We all have our favourite resort(s) for whatever reasons -- many of which make sense only to the owner.

II has a two bedroom at Vero Beach for October, different weeks to choose from. I was checking my II options to see what I might want to do. We also have Disney points and feel like when in Orlando the magic only feels real when staying on Disney property.
As for a suggestion as to where to stay. I think there are so many great choices to choose from. my kids and I and my husband LOVED the boardwalk. Great location, lots of action and liveliness for kids and adults alike. That would be my vote. But don't think you could go wrong no matter what you choose.

Another suggestion is to go to disneyworld.com and take a virtual tour of each DVC resort and see what looks like them most fun. There is the Beach Club, Old Key West, Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk, Saratoga Springs and you can take a tour of each online.

With teenageers, I would try for the Boardwalk. There is lots for them to do on their own without being too far from home.

My favorite DVC resorts are those attached to an already existing WDW deluxe hotel--BWV, BCV, VWL. That being said, OKW has the largest accommodations of the DVC resorts. Click here to get a virtual tour of each of the resorts as well as links to the floorplan layouts of each type of accommodation (just click the link for accommodations on the left side once you click on one of the resort pages).

I agree with a previous poster, though. With teenagers (and even the twins), the BWVs offer ALOT to do. The BCV, however, has the SAB swimming pool which would be a BIG hit for all the kids and is within walking distance of all of the hustle and bustle of the BW and withing closer walking distance to EPCOT that the BWVs.

Congrats on the trade and have a WONDERFUL stay!

the virtual tour is exactly what My sis-n-law needs to see.
Thanks for the great info. so far. We have actually been to BWV
and it seemed like alot of fun! We are still searching so any insight
would be beneficial !!

Most often, when DVC deposits weeks into II, they deposit OKW, SSR, or rarely BWV (from what my II friends tell me...I am NOT a member of II). You almost NEVER see BCV or VWL, and I think BWV is definitely the exception to the rule.

I would really take a look at OKW and SSR, and decide which one of these two properties you would prefer. If you are lucky enough to get a choice of resorts, chances are the choice will be at one of those two.
