Forgive me if this is in the incorrect place. I am in the very early stages of planning an 8 or 9 night stay (probably an August stay, but not this year, just gathering info right now). We would like to try a 1 bedroom villa but I don't even know where to start on choosing which one.

The loose plan would be this........

2 or 3 WDW park days (MK & Epcot, maybe a water park and we don't hop)
A day at Discovery Cove
A day at Aquatica
LOTS of down days just hanging at the pool, doing FW movie nites, shopping, etc.

Cast would be me, DH and DD (she'll be 9 or 10 when we do this)

We MUST stay somewhere that has a slide at the pool (DD's request).

We will have our own car.

So, which DVC would you choose and why. Keep in mind that the slide at the pool is an absolute must have :thumbsup2

Thank you!

I am a new DVC member so I have not stayed at any of the resorts in the DVC studios/villas I have however stayed at most of the hotels including all of those that are DVC home resorts. With the ages of your kids and since you plan on having plenty of downtime I would say to stay at the Beach Club the pool is the largest of all the hotels and has an awesome slide. When my kids where younger they could spend hours in this pool, especially since they have a "sand area" where the kids can play. As well the Boardwalk is right across the way and there is some fun stuff to do during evening without the need of a car (although you will have one). In everyway the entire Epcot Hotel area is great for anyone who wants to have down time as well as park time. Not to mention the ability to walk to EPCOT is great. Again I haven't stayed in the DVC rooms, but have been at the hotel twice and just love it.

That's easy... BCV, Stormalog Bay, long slide, walking distance to Epcot.
