Which do you like better?

Just wondering what the DIS thinks.

Which do you like better: Sci-Fi Dine In or 50s Prime Time Cafe?
Sci Fi. But I've never eaten at 50's. I'd like to, but we only visit Hollywood Studios once per trip max, & I never want to miss Sci Fi. It's one of my favorite WDW restaurants.

They are on par with each other. I think that 50s does a great fried chicken and PB&J shake. I love the decor and our server was funny. Sci-fi's food is...ok. My burger was not good enough to make me want to order it again. Onion rings and Reuben were fine. We thought the movies and commercials were fun and we liked the cars. Putting our kids in a separate seat, after spending several hours trying to get people to get along, was a welcome relief. Both places run behind, so don't be surprised by a 30-45 minute wait after your ADR time. Remember that it isn't a reservation, it's a place in line.

Whichever menu or atmosphere appeals to you is the one to choose. Food and service is hit and miss, like most WDW places.

Sci-Fi. But to be fair, I have never been to 50's. It doesn't look appealing to me. Sci-Fi has always been fun.

We always do both. Food is very good at 50's Prime Time. Have to see the film at Sci-Fi every time we visit.

50's. In fact, Sci-Fi is the only place I won't go back to. The food was gross the only time I ate there.

I won't eat at places like 50's - antics, chaos and comfort food are not things I want involved in my dining experiences. Sci Fi's food isn't great, but the sandwiches are serviceable and they have alcoholic milkshakes! I love how cool and quiet Sci Fi is. Its a nice respite from the parks. Now that the HBD lounge exists, I haven't been back. I miss the ac and the adult milkshakes.

Sci-Fi. We have never had a bad meal there, and the kids love the atmosphere!

I have been to both multiple times and have plans to do both for my next trip as well but I prefer 50s by a large margin. It is always fun and the food is good. I really enjoy the pot roast so that is typically what I get.

Sci-fi is a neat experience, but kind of a "been there done that" thing for me.

50's Prime Time is the only restaurant we have been to every trip we've taken. We love the atmosphere and always have a blast there. The food is good too. AND they have the peanut butter and jelly milkshake, my favourite treat in all of WDW!

50's is much better food in our experience. Sci-fi has great atmosphere but can't seem to get a decent menu no matter how much it tries.

50's Prime Time. It's an oddity to me - nothing on the menu sounds appealing or is something I would typically order yet I have loved everything I have ordered there and so has my husband and my sometimes picky eater 15 year old son. We have also had some AMAZING CM interactions at 50's Prime Time - yes, the schtick is fun but honestly we have just had some really great CMs who are fun and very interesting to talk to.

Sci-Fi, our whole group of 8 was able to find something that they liked there, and the food was solid. We ate at the lounge that it a part of 50s and were really disappointed in the food, I know it gets rave reviews here, but we just didn't think that the food quality was there at all.

Neither is an every-trip-must-do, so when I do do them they are both enjoyable for ambiance with 50's PT having a slight edge.

50's Prime Time. I'd eat there every trip. Sci-Fi - nope. Although I love the atmosphere, I don't like the table setup, I don't want to look at the back of my family's heads instead of interacting.

We love SciFi!!!! Love the atmosphere. Its awesome. Nice and cool and QUIET! The quietest restaurant around actually. And im sorry, but im with my family for THE ENTIRE TRIP. In the dead heat, waiting in line, thirsty, tired, arguing, whining, etc.....sitting quietly facing forward at scifi is a LOVELY and much needed welcome. What on earth do we have to talk about at lunch/dinner after spending the entire day/vacation together??? The food at SciFi is good. We liked the onion rings, chicken wings, spinach dip, burgers....and the shakes....oh my, they're soooooo good. Oreo is my fave.

Dont get me wrong, 50's has great food too! Love it actually. Only thing i didnt like was the fried chicken. Too salty. Antics are fun WHEN and IF you get a server that plays the part. Our server last time didnt do a single antic. Lovely woman though. But overall we do prefer SciFi.

sci-fi over here! 50s is ok, but not my favorite by any stretch
