Just wondering what the DIS thinks.

Which do you like better: Sci-Fi Dine In or 50s Prime Time Cafe?

Sci-Fi for me. Although I am not happy with their recent menu change as they removed the salmon BLT from their offerings. 50's is okay food but the waits have been horrendous the last few time we went-over an hour past our ADR. They also serve most of their entrees with garlic mashed potatoes-:crazy2:. I cannot stand garlic.

50's PT, for sure. I'm just not a fan of sci-fi, and I don't care for the seating. You can only talk to one other person really, you're all facing forward. And I feel like you aren't supposed to talk, which I don't care for either.

I loved 50's PT. I saw so many things that my grandmothers had in their kitchens/houses, and old TV snipits were fun to watch and talk about with my mom. I thought the food was great. Super cute restaurant.

Since "neither" doesn't answer your question, I'd go with 50's Prime Time Cafe. The food isn't great at either place, but it's a little better at Prime Time, and I prefer the environment to the dark vibe at Sci-Fi, where it's nearly impossible to talk to your dining-mates.

50's Prime Time. While the atmosphere at Sci-Fi is fun, it's hard to talk to your group if there are more than two of you, and we found it hard to see the menus. Plus, the food was just all around better at 50's Prime Time.

I've not been to Sci-Fi, but I have been to 50s and I loved it. That was a long time ago, but it was my favorite meal all week and we ate at some pretty great other restaurants. The themeing is great and the waiters/waitresses really get you into this role-playing experience. And the food was good. But I've never done Sci-fi. But if you do choose 50s, you won't be disappointed, if you're anything like me.

50's Prime Time - For us, 50's PT has better food. The fried chicken dinner is great. We eat there on every visit.
The Sci-Fi - It has a great fun atmosphere, but the food is not as good as what they have at 50's Prime Time.

If I have to pick one, I'll go with Sci-Fi. It's usually just the two of us and I'm tired of sitting in the backseat though.

I always do Sci-Fi for lunch and 50's or Mama Melrose for dinner on our HS day. I enjoy both of them, Sci-Fi for burgers and shakes and 50's for Pot Roast
