I have two permanently hungry athletes, traveling with me, and they eat large portions! So where should I send them to eat, the more food on the plate the better!

Then my sister, my diabetic daughter and I will go eat somewhere else... LOL. Or share...

I was surprised at the size of the taco salads at the Mexican place at DCA (can't think of the name right now). My husband had an enchilada platter and it was also pretty big.

Even if the portion sizes aren't huge, there's plenty of food around to make it up. I found the best cream cheese-filled pretzels at a cart in Tomorrowland. Everytime we passed by, I wished I had room to get another one but I was always full!

Send them to the Turkey Leg ODV cart. Those things are HUGE. Although I did just read they raised the price.

Rancho del Zocalo, and I agree. You also get your money's worth at Tortilla Joe's in DTD. My DW and I often split the Chicken Nachos appetizer and make that our dinner.

Another vote for Redd Rocket's Pizza Port. I had the Chicken Fusilli and my wife had the Marinara with Meatballs and the portions were huge. We were both really hungry when we went in, but didn't even come close to finishing.

When I went with my 2 boys in August DS22 DS23 who are both over 6'3" and eat a ton! I found the only way to save my $ was to hit up the character buffets and BTBBQ. DSs were ordering an entree, desert and salad with drinks. That usually came out to 25-30$ a pop then they were clammering for snacks within 30 minutes. No they are not even overweight just very active. So we hit up the BBQ and Minnies, more than once. At least I felt I was getting my moneys worth just out of the 2 of them.
Prior to that we ate at the Plaza Inn. They enjoyed the fried chicken dinner, to me it was large. And as others have said Pizza port has good size pasta dishes. River bell terrace for breakfast, and lunch. And in DTD wetzels pretzels has good prices on large pretzels, I think we purchased 4 for 12$ pizza pretzels they were good. :)
French Market they both had clam chowder bowls with side salads and the roast beef entree, that was pricey :scared1: but they were satisfied.
We also grabbed the bread at The bakery tour in DCA and tortillas at the tortilla factory tours. :) In December when they come I will bring more snacks into the park with us! Lol

I would say check out white water snacks in the GCH. The portions are big and the food is delicious.

Isn't the Mexican eatery in DCA Cucina Cucamonga?? Zocalo is over at DL. We had their fajita salad at Cucina a few weeks back and that sucker was HUGE.

We find the portions at the Plaza Inn huge. The chicken dinner is one we'll be sharing next time! And it is so pretty in there:thumbsup2
