Which Disneyland hotel for one night?

I spend half my money on WDW, and waste the rest.

Looking at next Sunday night, then Disney Monday (mon after 9PM I need to drive about 1 hr south).

Maybe would do early hours but probably not. So onsite maybe, but what is close and decent, and as a second option-what is close and cheap? TIA.

All Disneyland hotels onsite are great. Grand Californian is the most expensive for a reason. Nearby off-site hotels include HoJo's and Candy Cane Inn, and several others. I would do a google search of the area hotels for a quick comparison of the cost and amenities.

I commented about early hours(Magic Mornings) in another thread of your. It doesn't apply to your decision on hotels.

There is a short post by Hyrdroguy, his Hotel Rule., to sum it up, stay close so your can walk to the parks but not nessecarily onsite.

There are a lot of options just across the street from DLR on Harbor drive, that are all within walking distance of the DLH and PPH and in some cases the GCH as well. These are mostly small motel like properties, a downside for some. They are much cheaper than onsite usually 1/2 to 1/3 as much. Some offer the perk of continental breakfast, a nice time and money saving option. Look in the link above for links on information about those places.

Also look quickly because prices are already high because it's short notice.

Great, thanks. It appears the DL onsites are not as exp as WDW? But still, just me-may save some dough.

Overall they are more expensive at DLR. There are no sub $100 value rooms at DLR like there are at WDW. At DLR you will only find delux WDW pricing. WL to GF.

Offsite you can find $60 to $200, depending on season and day of the week at DLR. That why when investigating expense and convinience offsite is a viable option at DLR and less so at WDW.
