Hi everyone, have been to Orlando 4 times and have never eaten at a disney restaurant outside the parks - we've never even ventured into any of disney's hotels as we always stay offsite.

We're going next Easter and my middle daughter is having her 12th birthday whilst we are there.

I know I will probably get a multitude of answers but what the hell! :rotfl:

I don't want to spend tons of money for a meal as there's 5 of us altogether, but for value & quality - which is the best restaurant to go to, why and how far in advance can I book?
I want to make this an extra special birthday that both she and all of us are going to remember and make this the best holiday ever!

Thanks in advance! :dance3:

How about doing a buffet........Crystal Palace at noon time is a good value and great food too.....because there are 5 of you ......having choices is good too...LTT also has good buffet choices too....look under the dining and see what the food menus are and the prices.....

If you want a resort restaurant, maybe the Cinderella gala at 1900 Park Faire at the Grand Floridian or for a fun time maybe WHispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge (get her to request ketchup :)). Chef Mickey's might be fun too. We have done birthdays at 1900 PF, they present the birthday girl with a tiara and Prince Charming presented Amy with her birthday cupcake. Great photo op.

Hoop-de-Doo is great fun, but not your cheapest option. But memorable!

Crystal Palace is a good choice, with generally good food and Pooh and friends visiting every table. Lunch is a little less pricey, with a slightly different menu.

Other thoughts ---

- Liberty Tree Tavern - character dinner
- ESPN Club - for sports fans, but the food is pretty good and it's a fun atmosphere
- Rainforest at DTD or AKL - kids love it there!

Chef Mickey's and 1900 are all good choices. I would also recommend Ohana's at the Polynesian Resort. Great variety of grilled meats, shrimp, salad, au gratin potatoes. Yum!

Her favourite character is Nemo - Finding Nemo mad she is!!

She's already decided she wants to go to Animal Kingdom on her actual birthday with a character breakfast at Restaurantosaurus, but we thought of somewhere nice for dinner after the park has closed.
We've already done Planet Hollywood DTD & Rainforest Cafe at both AK and DTD and wanted something different.

How about Beaches and Cream - it's just standard burgers and stuff but the ice creams are awesome.

Otherwise, how about Whispering Canyon cafe - never eaten there myself but have heard it's good food and great fun :)
