I would welcome all members opinions and suggestions on which is the best disney hotel to stay at?

I am a recent disney convert after meeting my ex cast member girlfriend. She has her own opinions and obviously knows a lot more about the strengths and weaknesses of each hotel.

I am of the opinion that the boardwalk area is the ideal place to be in and youve the choice of many hotels there. Here you are extremely close to MGM and EPCOT which means MK is within easy reach too via the monorail. You also have a number of bars close - which as 25 year olds is vey important to us:goodvibes

I would like your opinions on everything from value for money, the age range the resort is aimed at, to the position it holds on disney property for accessability to parks.

Many thanks.

I agree with the Boardwalk/Beach Club area. Jellyrolls is a lot of fun. Went there in March. :) You also can walk to Epcot.

Saratoga Springs is another idea. You can walk to Downtown Disney, and there is plenty of nightlife there.

You may want to rethink the MK being in "easy reach" via the monorail. You would need to walk all the way from the back of EPCOT and out the front entrance to get to the monorail station. A bus from your hotel would be easier IMHO.

There are a lot of great resorts at WDW. Choose based on where you think you'll be spending more of your time. The monorail resorts are great for the MK and Epcot, because you have monorail access to both (you must make a "connection" for Epcot, though). Access to MGM and the AK is somewhat less convenient. The Epcot resorts are my favorite because Epcot is my favorite park and these resorts offer lots of options for transport and dining. You can walk easily to Epcot and take watercraft to MGM or one of the other hotels to check out the decor or restaurants. The AKL is fabulous for viewing wildlife; it is a gorgeous resort. Both the moderates and values can save you a considerable amount of money if you're on a budget; splurge on other things if you will not be spending much time in your room. Assume you will be back to visit ;) (if you're like most of us, you will!!) and choose a different spot each time. Visit the lobbies of other hotels to get a feel for their vibe. Each has something special to offer.
