we might be lucky enough to have three nights at a Disney hotel

If you had the choice would you

- stay at just one hotel, if so which one
- stay at all three hotels, one night each

With club level do you get free alcohol or just soft/hot drinks

Can you see fireworks from any hotel?

The first day we are intending to arrive at the hotel really early and stay around the hotel that day

The other days going in to the parks

Any other thoughts

Thank you

I would just pick one and stay the whole trip. I believe fireworks can be viewed from all three club lounges, some rooms give a partial view. I have only stayed club at DLH and they do offer beer and wine I believe. I would assume the other two do also. PPH lounge closes at 8:00, DLH at 10:00 (or 10:30), not sure about the Grand. If you are arriving early I would highly suggest just adding another day to your ticket, the cost is minimal.

Now as far as choosing which one, and assuming money is not a deciding factor, I would choose either the Grand or DLH. Both had their advantage and it would depend on who is traveling with you. I think DLH is nice for family and/or young kids. If it's an adult only trip then I would choose the Grand. Obviously the Grand's location is better, I like the size of the rooms at DLH. It's really just up to what you are looking for. Either way, what a fun 3 days you will have.

Thank you
It would be just adults
We would stay sun/mon/tues early Nov so assume fireworks only on Sunday

I would also only stay at one. Packing up and moving each day would not be fun and waste valuable park time!

Choosing which one to stay at really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a big, bright room, then PPH 1st, DLH 2nd and GCH 3rd. If you want to be super close then GCH. If you want the most 'Disney" hotel then DLH. If you want a great pool area then DLH 1st, GCH 2nd and PPH 3rd. There are so many different things that each one offers.

For what it's worth my families favorites in order are DLH, PPH and GCH!

Good luck choosing and have a blast!!!

I am in the minority but we have split stayed often between the DLH and GCV. We don't find it cumbersome at all.

1 hotel for sure, it's a big waste of time moving on such a short trip. Club level includes alcohol. (Wine and beer available with evening appetizers, cordials with dessert. Mimosas available at breakfast.)

No matter how early in the day you arrive check-in is at 3pm for the Disney hotels- even if you request early check-in plan on 3pm. (And sometimes the room is not available until 4pm). I'm just saying that so you know if you're thinking of swimming or activities that require changing clothes you'll have to request your luggage from the bell hops and change in the hotel bathrooms. You might also want to explore Downtown Disney on your hotel day and walk to the other 2 hotels to tour them on your own (if you decide to stay in just one).

Normally I would say PPH the DLH then GCH but if the concierge lounge is a factor then I would go for DLH before PPH simply because it closes later.

Also, for a 3 day trip I would pick one hotel and not switch.

I would go with the Disneyland Hotel, I really liked the details and feel of it better than the other two. Depends on the room, but I have had a pretty decent view of the fireworks from fantasy tower. It was partial view, but it was still nice to see.

Never stayed at PP or GCH but we are at the DLH this week. 5th floor standard room in the adventure tower. We can clearly see and hear the fireworks from our room.

The CMs here have all been amazing, there is a ton of history to look at, the walk to the parks isn't as long as many make it out to be.

Again, never stayed at the GCH or PP but I highly recommend the DLH!

We have always love the Grand Californian but recently we have chosen the DH and have loved it. We are staying there in December.

I have stayed at all 3, plus the VGC DVC resort, and like them all. The VGC rooms that face the WoC show and DCA are great. Watched WoC 2X a night some evenings. BUT, you only get that view by sheer luck.

I really like Paradise Pier upper theme park view, I think now it is just called Premium view. I can look at the Carsland mountains forEVER, lol. At night the view is amazing, and you have a side view of WoC. I find PP is CLOSER than DL Hotel, because you just cross the street to the GC lobby and go from there. Yes, DL hotel is close to the monorail, but that is down fairly often, and only helps if you want to enter DL in Tomorrowland. (I like the main entrance most times, to see the castle and Main St).

It will be built in what is now the DTD parking lot between ESPN zone and M&F parking garage. They are building a garage west of that for DTD and the new hotel.

Thanks for your reply!
I wonder if it will be more expensive than GCH? EEK!

thank you all
I think we have decided not to do club level, not because of price, but just because will we use it that much if at parks from early to late.

I am quite surprised tbh with some replies, I honestly though GC would be the most popular (as I thought it was the better of the three) - but PP has come out quite popular

Thank you once again for all your help

I think we possibly going for GC theme park view but still not 100%

if it was not a pain to move I would do night in each to get a feel of them all lol but decided to stay at one hotel

I am hoping I wont be disappointed that PTN etc will be finished when we go and that there will be something in its place and hopefully a dessert party.

The best Theme Park View is without a doubt PPH. If that is the mot important thing to you, I would go with PPH. GCH is definitely the most luxurious feeling in the common areas and the ability to walk right into DCA is nice but for me when you combine the price with rooms that just don't work for my family, I always put GCH at the bottom on my list. I always mean to stay at DLH but when I can get club level at PPH for less than standard at DLH, I usually end up picking PPH Club level. Club level at PPH is nice for families (and yes, you get free alcohol during cocktail hour) and it usually ends up saving me a ton of money because I have a bit of a diet soda issue ;)

Can I ask what you mean by "don't work for your family"

What time is the cocktail hour?

Thanks again everyone
