Which Diamond Resort would you recommend?

Which Diamond Resort would you choose?

  • Cypress Grand Villas

  • Grand Beach

  • Polynesian Isles

  • There is no way that I would stay at one of these resorts instead of Bonnet Creek.

We are planning a trip for the last week of August before school starts. We were planning on staying at Bonnet Creek which I love. :cloud9: We have stayed there twice. I just found out that I can get a stay at any Diamond Resort for a crazy low price. I don't know too much about the differences between them- location, reviews, etc. I would love to know if one is better than another and anything else that you would like to share :goodvibes

I've wanted to try those 3BR units at Grand Beach, and I hear the Cypress Pointe resorts are both nice. I don't know much about PI.

Grand Beach and CPR/CPGV are all close enough to WDW property that, for the right price, I'd be willing to give them a spin. CPR/CPGV are part of a larger planned development that includes a few restaurants, etc. which is nice.

We stayed at Grand Beach in a 3 bed/3 bath and it was incredible - so much space and so clean. It was great having the tennis courts and swimming pools too. They had lots of activities at the main pool like a movie night and fun activities for the children. I loved how conveniently it was located to Disney - it took about 5 minutes.

The staff at Grand Beach did tell me that Cypress Pointe has even more child focused activities than Grand Beach so depending on the age of your children or if you have children, Cypress Pointe might be a great option too.

The condo we stayed in had 2 master bedrooms with king bed and en-suite with both jetted tub and walk in shower. The 3rd bedroom had twin beds in it and it's own full bathroom. Everyone had lots of space and there was a TV in every bedroom plus the living room so everyone could watch their own TV shows if they wanted.

Thank you for your input- I really appreciate it! I guess that after being spoiled with Bonnet Creek, I was just afraid that it would be horrible to consider staying somewhere else. Both the Cypress Grand Villas and the Grand Beach look nice to me- I guess that I just need reassurance :) If anyone else has any thoughts about any of the Diamond resorts, I would love to hear it. Thanks!

You really can't go wrong with any of these. I would not hesitate to go with any of the Diamond properties. I've stayed many times at Cypress Pointe and Cypress Pointe Grand Villas which I believe are both Diamond properties too and really like those resorts, but noticed they aren't on your poll?? I know we are staying at Cypress Point again for our next Orlando stay scheduled March of 2011. These two properties are practically across the street from the Downtown Disney entrance, near many resturants, etc. There is a grocery store less than a mile away too.

I belong to the timeshare users group, TUG2.net and here are TUG member ratings of the properties that you are considering. I am usually happy with any property rated an 8 or above and all the properties you are considering fit in this category as well as the Cypress Point Properties.

Here are the TUG2.net ratings on a scale of 1 to 10
Cypress Pointe 8.57
Bonnet Creek 8.41
Grand Beach 8.34
Cypress Pointe Grand Villas 8.25
Polynesian Isles 8.22
