Which Deluxe Resort for Parent's 40+ Anniversary

Which Deluxe resort would you recommend for my parent's 40+ wedding anniversary?

My family will be springing for a their first trip back to Disney since 1973 when we camped at FW in a 1970 Winnegbago!

My father is a little picky and appreciates 'peace and quiet'. Both enjoy good traditional meals. They will be visiting us for a couple of days in October and we have a night of MNSSHP lined up for them.

We stayed at GF on our honeymoon in 1991 and loved it. We've been going back every two years or so. I've heard some good things about BW. My family will be staying at FW for 7 days. At present, my parents will only be at Disney for two days.

If you will be at the GF, I'd get them a room there. You know the food choices there, and it certainly is peaceful.

If your family is staying at FW then the WL sounds like it would be great. My other suggestion would be the GF...most peaceful & relaxing of all the resorts I've seen (fewest kids).

Whoops....since you're at FW, I'd put them in a cabin there. There are no more peaceful or quiet accomodations @ WDW than those cabins. They may be kind of remote, but it is so peaceful.

I'd say definitely the WL! It's very close to FW, only a boat ride away and it's peaceful, beautiful, very romantic and it has great traditional food.

I would go with the POLY. It is very romantic and quite. You can get a lagoon view so that they can look out and see the castle. Then Ohana's for dinner and a nice stroll along the beach and catch the fireworks. Or take a nice ride on the monorail over to the CR and have dinner at the California Grille which you get an awesome view of the MK and if might even get to catch the fireworks.
